Mindy Kaling has lived many lives: the obedient child of immigrant professionals, a timid chubster afraid of her own bike, a Ben Affleck–impersonating Off-Broadway performer and playwright, and, finally, a comedy writer and actress prone to starting fights with her friends and coworkers with the sentence “Can I just say one last thing about this, and then I swear I’ll shut up about it?”

What did you love best about Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns)?

Wasn't expecting much from this book, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is very relatable and an entertaining listen.

What other book might you compare Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) to and why?

This book reminds me of Tina Fey's "Bossy Pants" - very honest and something that I think a lot of people can identify with. Also, a funny and amusing listen.

What does Mindy Kaling and Michael Schur bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Mindy really is able to emphasize the messages that she is trying to get across. She really makes you feel like you're sitting in front of her, having a conversation.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book really made me laugh and - as funny as it sounds - it was kind of inspiring.

Prosecuting attorney in the Manson trial Vincent Bugliosi held a unique insider's position in one of the most baffling and horrifying cases of the 20th century: the cold-blooded Tate-LaBianca murders carried out by Charles Manson and four of his followers. What motivated Manson in his seemingly mindless selection of victims, and what was his hold over the young women who obeyed his orders? Now available for the first time in unabridged audio, the gripping story of this famous and haunting crime is brought to life by acclaimed narrator Scott Brick.

Would you listen to Helter Skelter again? Why?

The story didn't really meet my expectations - included too many frivolous details. Wasn't a huge fan of the narrator, either.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Just wasn't the right choice for the book - his voice almost kind of puts you to sleep..
