In the 10 years since his classic Kitchen Confidential first alerted us to the idiosyncrasies and lurking perils of eating out, much has changed for the subculture of chefs and cooks, for the restaurant business and for Anthony Bourdain. Medium Raw explores those changes, tracking Bourdain's strange and unexpected voyage from journeyman cook to globe-traveling professional eater and drinker, and even to fatherhood. Bourdain takes no prisoners as he dissects what he's seen.

Andy says: "entertaining but not as good as kitchen conf."
    "Tony does it again..."

Enjoyable, if somewhat strident at times, this book catches readers up on the life of the author (and his antics) and recaps the lives of people covered in other books. Very enjoyable book.

Evie needs a good holiday. Not just because she's been working all hours in her job as a receptionist for two high-powered plastic surgeons, but also because every holiday she has ever been on has involved sunburn, arguments and projectile vomiting - and sometimes all three at once. So when her employers invite her to attend a conference with them in the South of France, she can't believe her luck.

    Janice says: "Boring"
    "Absolutely dreadful..."
    Overall

Silly, stupid and not worth the time. As another reviewer mentioned, the narrator is miscast (and really does sound like an aged Miss Marple, not a good thing here).

Read by two of the UK’s finest stand ups, Charlotte’s Lot is a light-hearted comedy about an infuriatingly self-centered English housewife who strikes up a relationship with a hideously smug celebrity healer. If you’ve ever had your palm read or your aura re-aligned you’ll know the type. Charlotte thinks she’s got everything: a big house, a husband in ship insurance and a pet cat called Missy…. But it’s all about to go wrong and a transformational journey for this super silly simpleton is about to begin.

    Elizabeth says: "Light and Fun....until..."
    "Not worth the bother"
    Overall

A two person reading of emails between a bored (and dim) housewife and a self-help author, the book attempts humor and fails. Characters are dull and witless, not worth the time to listen to the audio book. Readers are effective.
