I would have given it a higher score if the reader could give a better voice for Mechere. She gave him such an old voice that i have a hard time imagine a man that looks like he is in his twenty.... of course he suppose to be really old but... at least give him a more lower and sexier voice... not an 80 years old man voice.... not sexy at all.
Yes! It sucks that this is just a novella. I am hoping and hoping that Ms Moning would continue her Highlander series... but she herself written that she wouldn't :-(
I suppose the storyline of this book is pretty similar to Gena Showalter's Wicked Night... only because of the .... "inexperienced tormented male hero finally falling in love" part. But this novella is a lot shorter and sweeter I guess...
The part when Jane teaches him how to kiss ;-P HOT HOT HOT
there were more than one part... but I'll have to tell the entire story if I go into it ;-)
Please write another book Ms. Moning!
I suppose this book is ok. The storyline is pretty good and the performance is passing... I'm just a bit confuse... is this Gena Showalter's work?...
I read and listened to all of her books in the Lord of the Underworld series and... this book's way of writing seems to be different... especially the intimate part... when Gena write intimate... wow! she describes everything in details and made it pretty hot... for this book... it seems like the author is a bit shy about details... there's a lot of vagueness that is so different from all the book in the Lord of the Underworld's writing.
The reader has problems changing his voice for different characters, so at time it was pretty hard to tell who's talking. Beside that he's pretty good.
I'm a fan of Gena Showalter writing... this book makes me question if she gets one of her shy assistant to write it for her.
Hell yeah! I listen to it twist already! Back to back. Major turn of event! I don't know how the author will write her next book in this serie but hell will I pick it up in a heart beat! Love love this serie. Paris was my favorite character but I didn't think I can like Xeana ... Well the aurthor proves me wrong. Xeana is perfect for Paris! I love how Gena Showalter's characters are not perfect beings ... In fact they are greatly flauded, yet she has no problem making you like her characters. Great job!
The sex is the hottest out of all her books in the serie. Mad seduction!
Perhaps, I'm still not convince with him on giving different voice to different characters...
Yes but I'm not going to spoil it to any one.
This would be my least favorite story of Gena Showalter's series. I'd like to like it more than I did but it is just hard to get warm up to something that mean the opposite....
Though I still like Darkest Night the most, this one is the very nearby second. I love the side stories, really make you look forward to the stories that Ms Showalter has in plan for the series. Mr. Bellmore does a great job reading this book and I think he's gotten better book after book. I would recommend this book to anybody. I would recommend that you read the series in their order, and read all the novellas that are related as well. Ms Showalter! I wish I have your imagination!
Ok! I bought Seduce by Moonlight first and found it not quite bad... even though there were practically two scenes in the entire book. Either a sex scene or a group talking scene, but at list plot were being thrown around.... Then I went and purchased Caress of Twilight... which is the book before Seduce by Moonlight and realized that the author has been using the same thing for both book. Then I went and found other books of the same serie at the local library to satisfy my stubborn self, hoping to prove that it is not so, and realized that it is SO! The author must have been copy and paste her own story's details for all her books in the same series!
She kept on using the same sentence to describe the same detail regarding Mary's men. Seriously! you can find the same sentence telling the reader that Kito is a half shee half goblin being abandoned by his mother in at least 3 books. Then the same sentence telling the reader how being naked is normal to the fairies and how touch each others doesn't mean wanting to have sex. And on and on like she's trying to brain wash rather than telling story.
after reading the 3rd book I've realized that this author spend most of her books reviewing her previous books rather than moving the story any where at all. I regret on spending money to buy her book.
how did she become best selling writing stuff like this?
OMG she is ssoooooooooooooo freakkkkkkkin slowwwwwwwwww. Even in the action scene where people suppose to be running and hurting, she gives no excitement to it at all. Listening to this makes me want to hit the reader's back and tell her to pick up the pace.
Given that the story has a lot of self-thinking and self-strategy... with her reading it just make it seems like these characters are retards who can't seems to think fast enough.
The story also have a lot of characters and the author throwing out names and relations like a tennis ball dispenser. I have a hard time getting to know who is who... maybe listening to it the second time would help... but then again I don't know if I want to put myself through Ms. Savannah Richards' reading again.
My suggestion is go buy the book and read it yourself. You might like it better that way.
