"Amazingly powerful story & outstanding narration"
Thank you for the powerful story. I continue to be impressed with the characters that Bower creates. Bower is an extremely talented narrator who captures the emotion and uniqueness of each character which enhances the skilfully written novel.
"Delightful character development and narration"
Courtenay presents a unique examination of a Eurasian character. I love the happy endings that Courtenay provides in his story - the guy gets the girl. The narrator is very skilled and provides a delightful telling of the story. Enjoyable and absorbing. This story did take a little longer to get into than previous stories (an hour or two) but was well worth it.
"OMG, I so LOVE Roseanne"
Roseanne, you rock!! While sometimes the dialogue appears to be THC induced, I totally LOVE it. I admit I'm a fan from way back and Roseanne continues to do what she does best. She say what's on her mind, in black and white, with good humour, and a taste of ethics. I gulped down the audiobook and my hubby is intrigued too even though he didn't watch the TV series. I hope you do live to a ripe old age Roseanne to keep the world honest. Thanks for sharing your history with us and letting us to get to know you a little more. I admire you speaking openly about your mental health too. Thank you.
"Terrible narration and boring details"
The narration is terrible (high pitched and tense) and made the tedious details even harder to listen to.
"SO VERY LONG AND SO VERY BORING"
I gave this audiobook a fair go but it failed to capture my attention. Three hours into the book and it got a bit interesting but, disappointingly, that died off shortly afterwards. Excellent storyline but terribly boring.
"Narration lacks charm is a let down"
I purchased this audiobook as it received fairly high ratings and sounded interesting. The narration lets down an otherwise possibly interesting tale down. The narrator uses the same voice for all characters, which makes the story hard to follow, lacks charm, and fails to hold my interest. In contrast, I've justed finished listening to Bryce Courtenay's Australian trilogy and the narrator, Humphrey Bower, creates a unique voice for each character (e.g., Tommo & Hawk). He's extremely talented and brings the book alive, which unfortunately is not done in The Poisonwood Bible.
"An amazing tale with talented narration"
I thoroughly enjoyed this trilogy and devoured all 3 books consecutively. Humphrey Bower is an extremely impressive narrator. The characters he creates are charming and I am simply impressed at how he brings the tale alive.
"Great concepts but poor narration"
The theory in the book seems to be solid, however, the narration is distracting. The male and female author speak alternately with the male narrator speaking most. He speaks too fast and it needs to be slowed down to pick up the concepts discussed. It was distracting listening to the voices switch between male and female and they also had different paces. Would love to listen again with a re-recording.
"This series is awesome!!"
Excellent novels and excellent narration. I'm impressed with the narration - well done.
When will the rest of the Night Huntress series be available on audiobook? I devoured Books 1-3 and am now starting on the second series. Can't stop listening. I hope to buy books 4-7 on audiobook soon. I love Cat and Bones - great characters.
Love from Australia
"Comprehensive and good listen"
The author discusses perfectionism within a number of contexts. I particularly liked the discussion of perfectionism within relationships. The narrator is good also.
