The Clone Wars have yet to erupt when Jedi Master Jorus C'baoth petitions the Senate for support of a singularly ambitious undertaking. Six Jedi Masters and 12 Jedi Knights, including Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, and 50,000 men, women, and children, will embark on a mission to contact intelligent life and colonize undiscovered worlds. But the mission is secretly being orchestrated by an unlikely ally: the evil Sith Lord Darth Sidious.

Preston says: "Great story, enlightening for fans.HATE ABRIDGED"
    "Pretty Good"

I usually hate abridged books, but Timothy Zahn is a magician. If you like his work, I would recommend this book. If you haven't read the Thrawn Trilogy, it would still be good, but it's better if you have.

Here is the novel that will be forever considered a triumph of the imagination. Set on the desert planet Arrakis, Dune is the story of the boy Paul Atreides, who would become the mysterious man known as Maud'dib. He would avenge the traitorous plot against his noble family and would bring to fruition humankind's most ancient and unattainable dream.

    Joshua says: "Wonderful production!"

Pretty good. I enjoyed the cast, and I was repeating the names from the book days after I had finished it. An interesting novel. I suppose I can see why this is one of the classics in sci fi, but to be honest I was a little disappointed. I mean, sure it was a great "read,", it was riveting, it was interesting, but to me, it just wasn't on par with other 'classics' as I see them. Although I'm to understand this book has somewhat of a cult following, to me it isn't anything more than an above-mediocre sci-fi novel.

One of the 20th century's most challenging novels of ideas, The Fountainhead champions the cause of individualism through the story of a gifted young architect who defies the tyranny of conventional public opinion. The struggle for personal integrity in a world that values conformity above creativity is powerfully illustrated through three characters: Howard Roarke, a genius; Gail Wynand, a newspaper mogul and self-made millionaire; and Dominique Francon, a devastating beauty.

Over 32 hours for one credit should be reason enough. If it isn't, then know you are listening to one of the great existentialist pieces of our time. If that isn't enough, know that you will be hearing it through a great narrator who encapsulates everything you think the characters should be. Highly recommended.

The war that erupted in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones is nearing its boiling point. The Separatist forces continue their assault on the Republic as the diabolical triumvirate of Count Dooku, General Grievous, and their Master, Darth Sidious, fine-tune their strategy for conquest. Capturing Trade Federation Viceroy and Separatist Councilmember Nute Gunray is the mission that brings Jedi Knights Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, with a squad of clones in tow, to Neimoidia.

Obi-Wan says: "Good, could be better"
    "Not that great"

Maybe it was because it was abridged (abridged books aren't that great imo). Maybe it was b/c I had just listened to the masterpiece that is Ep III. Either way, I was not impressed.
