There is technically nothing wrong with Ashley's writing, but her characters lack distinct personalities. I couldn't really get interested in the characters because there was no depth. And what there was of the characters and the story had the life sucked out of them by the narrator. I'm sure she's good at something, like textbooks or self-help. Her delivery was just so stiff and rushed. There was no natural flow. It just sounded like she was nervous about reading in front of the class. But, then again, the author didn't give her much to work with.

KMM is awesome, fantastic. The characters are fully engaging and leave you panting for more. Ryo, Lor, Christian & Cruce are panty-combusting hot and terrifying all at once. And I have a feeling that there will be a Dancer bombshell at some point. Phil Gigante and Natalie Ross are the best narrating team ever. PG is smokin' hot with his sexy voice and NR is dead-on with the accents and inflection. My only regret is that I have to wait for the next book. Keep it comin' K!!

Becca Battoe takes a little while to warm up, but she does get better. At first I wasn't sure about it, but I came to really like her narration in light of the fact that the female character, Ana, is only 21 years old. And her portrayal of Christian, the main male character, is believable for a 27 year old who is older than his years. And if you aren't sold on the kinky sex, which I rather enjoyed, the second book delves deeper and deeper into the motivations behind Christian's lifestyle. Overall, the series is very satisfying and deeply moving. Give it a try.
