Loyal. Beautiful. Professional. Impeccably organized. Potentially lethal. Sarah Stevens is a woman with many distinct qualities. First and foremost a butler par excellence, skilled at running large households smoothly and efficiently, she is also a trained bodyguard and expert marksman - indispensable to her elderly employer, a courtly gentleman Sarah has come to respect and love. But her perfectly ordered life is shattered when tragedy strikes.

What about Susan Ericksen’s performance did you like?

Only drawback to Ericksen was that I kept expecting her to talk about Eve or Rourke.

    Any additional comments?

Not sure why I'd missed this Howard book before, but I'm glad I got around to it. I thought the romance was smoking hot and though the mystery was a little predictable it was creepy enough to keep me guessing.

Even though Chantel O'Hurley was being harassed by an obsessive "admirer", she didn't want some two-bit P.I. telling her what to do. Private investigator Quinn Doran resented playing nursemaid to a spoiled star. But one look at the cool blonde showed him how easy it was to become obsessed with a woman like Chantel.

This is the third (or I guess the second if you go by birth order) O'Hurley triplet's story. It's been a couple of months since I listened, but what I remember primarily is that the hero smokes at the gym. While lifting weights. Which was pretty awesome. The suspense plot, of a stalker terrorizing Chantel on the set of her new movie, was pretty good for such a short book, and I enjoyed the Hollywood setting. Overall an entertaining read.

She moved in perfect harmony to the music that ruled her life both onstage and off. He dealt with the world with ruthless expertise. Music was his business and he was all business. That is until she lit up the stage.

I read the O'Hurleys out of order, and read this one (the second) first. It's kind of hilarious to read about Reed, a record company executive, being really powerful but the romance itself holds up fine. Maddy's career as a Broadway star is entertaining and I liked them together. Marie Caliendo's narration was spot on. A short, but sweet little audio romance.

As the widow of an infamous race car champion, Abby O'Hurley shunned publicity. But how could she keep charming, disarming, and ruthlessly cynical biographer Dylan Crosby from uncovering her darkest secrets?

I find these old Nora Roberts releases to be quite charming. Though the smoking throws me off a bit. This first installment in the O'Hurley quartet is very good. I loved the instant chemistry between Abby and Dylan, and the way the boys welcome Dylan into their little family is great.

Chief Inspector Armand Gamache and his team of investigators are called in to the scene of a suspicious death in a rural village south of Montreal. Jane Neal, a local fixture in the tiny hamlet of Three Pines just north of the U.S. border, has been found dead in the woods. The locals are certain it's nothing more than a tragic hunting accident, but Gamache smells something foul in these remote woods.

I'd been hearing about Louise Penny's Gamache series for a while, so I finally took the plunge with listening to the first one as an audiobook. I really loved Ralph Cosham's narration. So much so that I don't think I can read the print books now without hearing his voice. The mystery itself was very good. I will happily revisit Three Pines again every chance I get.

This was my first in the JD Robb "In Death" series and I quite enjoyed it. The mystery was compelling and the relationship between the oft praised Eve and Rourke did not disappoint. I'm looking forward to more in the series.
