This book was well written and REALLY well read. Is the narrator Fisher Stevens – the actor? It would make perfect sense – this book is so much fun - and the read was a big factor.
I enjoyed the whole experience and would happily recommend you get this one. It is not often the reader will get me to laugh out loud – ( I wonder what the other drivers on the road with me were thinking?) - This is an interesting and silly take on death and the transition of the human soul. If you have ever been a fan of Piers Anthony, you will surely enjoy this romp through the macabre. This author is a more mature writer. Please Note: This book not intended for anyone but an adult audience, so be sure you are not sharing with the kids. There are a few words the kids can wait to learn – at least until after your mother-in-law comes to visit.

This book was an enjoyable listen. The Narrator was great at handling all the characters' voices as they spanned the range of American, British, & European. The story line was on a teen level; I place this book in the range of author Garth Nix - Teen rated, yet interesting enough for adults. The plot centers around a young woman working for a secret government agency that uses people with special abilities to combat supernatural events. She wakes up with no memory and attempts to rebuild her life.This book is in the fantasy / scifi category and yet will appeal to readers who enjoy a mystery.

You do not want to read a review with any discussion of this book's plot. This book is best as a leap of faith.I am writing this scant review as a SciFi reader of 50 years. Seriously, just get it. You will enjoy every minute.

This combination of talent makes for a great Audible experience. Sanderson and Kramer.

For those of us who have followed the Mistborn series from Brandon Sanderson; this installment is like a cool drink after a long trek. If you have not read a Mistborn book - please go to those first for maxim enjoyment of Mr. Sanderson's works.

Alloy of Law is written many hundreds of years later than the previous books and gives us a glimpse of the world the Mistborn characters were striving to create for their population in previous books. I love the new hero and his friends' adventures while fighting crime in a modern Mistborn world. I only wish it had been longer.

This book is well worth your credit.

I am serious. This book has great prose and a good plot premise - but the execution is so clouded; I feel like there is a fog rolling over my brain when I try to listen to this book. I’ve restarted the first section of the book 4 times - trying to grasp the time line or to even follow the plot. Sorry - but this one needed more glue to hold it together.
I am moving on to another book – at this point I am not even curious about the end of the book.

I love anything from this era. Normally I can get lost in my enjoyment of archaic London slang, it is so entertaining. This reading is painful to endure. The narrator’s voice fades in and out during the recording. Also, his settings on the recording equipment must have been changed by gremlins every time he left the recording booth for lunch. The tone changes constantly during this monotone reading. At some points he sounds like a robot – completely computer generated. There are actually points in this book where he sounds like he has no idea of what the words he is reading mean. There are accents and tones that do not even relate to the topic of the sentence, much less relating to each other. I am beyond counting the number of words he mispronounces. It would seem logical if you are reading a book in archaic London slang, you should at least research what the terms might mean. This narrator has such serious faults I can only recommend you seriously consider spending your credit on another book. I hate to waste a single credit by not finishing this book, but at this point I would rather clean the house.

If you have not yet purchased The Vor Game, get this one, The Warrior’s Apprentice, first. No doubt you will rush to get The Vor Game soon after hearing the Audible signoff from this one. If, however, you previously purchased The Vor Game I would recommend you re-listen to it immediately after you listen to this one.

You do not need to listen to these adventures in order, you will enjoy each one.

There are many books in this series about the VorKosigan family by Lois McMaster Bujold and each of them stands on its own merit. I sincerely hope Audible will continue to stock up on Ms. McMaster Bujold’s large library of work. Science Fiction is not the central theme of her works; it is only a happenstance (a really well written and smart one.) These books are actually based on men and women of honor, loyalty, family, and character.

This is a classic Weber solider story softened by the addition of Ringo’s story lines.
I believe this book starts in the middle of a series, however, there is no mention of this anywhere – BUT – don’t let that stop those of you (us) who like Sci-Fi war stories.
The reader is brought up to speed before the story gets rolling. I really would have liked a little more story and a little less description of the ordnance – but I enjoyed the ride. You may feel there is just enough morts and ordnance, give it a try.

Cell is a well read version of another high quality Steven King. The narrator has the knack of reading King - just the right twist of irony to make the listen come to life in a way I imaging King intended. This one is worth the credit and was a fun listen.
