The fact that it ends.
Damn you Jim Butcher and your compelling characters! I started listening to the Dresden Files while on my daily commute and burned through all the books in a matter of a couple months. Side Jobs is another great book in the series.
Jim Butcher's skill in writing and development with the characters just keeps improving. This is a fun collection as you can get a feel for the growth through the stories written over time, ending with a great novella.
I recommend this book, and the entire series.
As always, it is a well crafted fun and adventurous story into the world of the Dresden Files. After so many books, Jim Butcher still manages to write compelling stories. If you've read his other books, you'll have already bought this too. If you haven't then you are very lucky to have 15 awesome books to add to your collection.
I like the style the most. But what strikes me as special about Jim's writing is that when the book ends, I always want more. I'm both satisfied, and annoyed that number 16 isn't already available.
Honestly, I hope Jim never gets tired of writing these.
Well, Dresden of course. But then, James has voiced almost the entire series and now I couldn't imagine anyone other than him doing it. If he ever decided to stop, I might stop buying the audiobooks and move only to the printed material.
It would make my commute sad.
