I WAS SUPRISED TO HEAR THE VOICE FROM LAW AND ORDER.
SHE WAS OK. I KEPT SEEING HER IN THAT ROLE AS SHE READ.
I DIDN'T REALLY THINK OF LIKING IT. JUST OK

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

  • Selected Scenes from the End of the World - A Free Short Story from Zombies: The Recent Dead

    • Narrated By L. J. Ganser

You can't kill the dead! Like any good monster, the zombie has proven to be ever-evolving, monumentally mutable, and open to seemingly endless imaginative interpretations: the thralls of voodoo sorcerers, George Romero's living dead, societal symbols, dancing thrillers, viral victims, reanimated ramblers, video-gaming targets, post-apocalyptic permutations, shuffling sidekicks, literary mash-ups, the comedic, and, yes, even the romantic.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

    DIFFERENT SUBJECT

Would you ever listen to anything by Brian Keene again?

YES BUT IT SEEMS VAMPIRES,ZOMBIES ALL THAT WIERD STUFF IS SO POPULAR TODAY,ON TV AND BOOKS. I ADMIT I DIDN'T LISTEN TO
VERY MUCH AS ITS NOT WHAT I LIKE.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of L. J. Ganser?

    HE WAS OK

What character would you cut from Selected Scenes from the End of the World - A Free Short Story from Zombies: The Recent Dead?

    NONE

    Any additional comments?

NONE BUT I HAVE A QUESTION WHY IS THIS TYPE OF CHARACTER SO POPULAR. WHY ARE YOUNG PEOPLE AND YOUNG ADULTS SO INTO THIS FAR OUT STUFF. I WOULD THINK THEY WOULD LIKE THINGS AND BOOKS AND MOVIES ABOUT REAL LIVES AND REAL CHARACTERS THAT ARE BELIEVABLE. ZOMBIES AND VAMPIRES ARE NOT BELIEVABLE.

THERE ARE SOME PEOPLE THAT REALLY BELIEVE THEY ARE VAMPIRES AND THEY DRINK BLOOD. MY SON RESEARCHED THIS.
DO WE REALLY WANT MORE OF THIS. THE YOUNG ARE VERY IMPRESSNABLE.

WHEN DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS CAME OUT THEY PLAYED THE ROLE OF A DEMON. THIS IS STUFF THAT SHOULD NOT BE FIDDELED WITH. SOME PARENTS HAD REAL PROBLEMS WITH THIS. THEY DIDN'T BUY IT THE KIDS DID. THEY SAVED THEIR ALLOWANCE AND GOT IT AND THE PARENTS THOUGH

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

YES. WE ALL ARE BUSY. SO I'M GOING TO TAKE TIME OUT TO READ A BOOK--THEN THERE'S THE EXPENSE OF BUYING IT. I WANT TO BE DARN SURE MY TIME AND MONEY AREN'T WASTED.MY FRIENDS ARE EVEN BUSIER THAN ME. WHEN ITS IN AUDIO FORM THEY CAN VACUUM,MAKE THE BED AND GET ALL THE HOUSEWORK DONE WHILE LISTENING. I SEW LONG STRIP OF FABRIC WHEN DOING 15 FT. OF BASTING ON EACH SIDE WHICH TAKES 3 HOURS, I LISTEN TO A BOOK. WHEN ONTHE COMPUTER I LISTEN TO A BOOK CLEANING HOUSE. WHEN ITS ON MY MP3 DEVICE I EVEN FALL ASLEEP TO IT. I CAN ALWAYS GO BACK TO THE PART I MISS. IT TAKES ME A LITTLE TIME TO GET ALLTHE CHARACTERS STRAIGHT. I HAVE OVER 5,000 BOOKS AND IDEFINITELY WOULD ADD ALL OF HIS BOOKS IF I COULD AFFORD THEM SO I JOINED AUDIBLE. AUDIBLE IS THE BEST!!!! I PAY JUST A SMALL MONTHLY FEE AND I GET AN AUDIO BOOK. IF I HAD TO BUY THAT IN A STORE DOWN TOWN IT WOULD COST THREE TIMES THAT. I CHECKED WHAT THEMONTEREY LIBRARY WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR IT MOST START AT$60. AUDIBLE IS A GOOD THING,NO MIDDLE MAN AND I CAN CHOOSEWHICH BOOK I WANT. I JUST GOT

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

    NO

    Which scene was your favorite?

    I HAVE NONE

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

ANOTHER SUSPENSFUL ADVENTURE OF PEOPLE LIKE ME AND YOU

    Any additional comments?

Eve Dallas is the tough lieutenant hot on his trail, but this is unlike any case she’s ever been assigned - or any killer she’s ever pursued. A police sketch based on eye-witness testimony reveals the killer has green skin, swollen red eyes, goblin ears, and a dislocated jaw-structure that defies the human form. Is it a mask? Is it make-up? Or is the explanation more sinister? Dallas faces off against multiple suspects - all of them students of medicine capable of precisely slicing the ears, noses, and eyes of the three victims.

Would you try another book from J. D. Robb and/or Susan Ericksen?

I HAVE OVER 12 OF THIS SERIES BUT THEY ALL SEEM TO HAVE THE
SAME STYLE AND NOW I HAVE HEARD ENOUGH. I THOUGHT THE SEX
WAS TOO DESCRIPTIVE ALMOST PORNOGRAPHIC. I WANT A MYSTERY NOVEL MORE THAN THAT. THE BOOK WOULD HAVE BEEN
BETTER IF SHE SAID THEY THOROUGHLY ENJOYED EACH OTHER AND EACH OTHERS BODIES.HE COULD NEVER GET ENOUGH OF HER. NOT AS DESCRIPTIVE AS SHE DOES IT. IN FACT I DIDN'T GET THE NEXT BOOK BECAUSE OF IT. I HAVE HEARD ONLY 6 OF THE BOOKS WE HAVE. THAT'S ENOUGH FOR ME.
I CALL IT FORMULA WRITING. I'M SEXUALLY SATISFIED SO TAME THE SEX. MY ANSWER IS----NO

Has Chaos in Death turned you off from other books in this genre?

    YES

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

    YES

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

    NO
