In the 1980s, Elton John saw friend after friend, loved one after loved one, perish needlessly from AIDS. In the midst of the plague, he befriended Ryan White, a young Indiana boy ostracized by his town and his school because of the HIV infection he had contracted from a blood transfusion. Ryan's inspiring life and devastating death led Elton to two realizations: His own life was a mess. And he had to do something to help stop the AIDS crisis. Since then, Elton has dedicated himself to overcoming the plague.

A great look "back" on the fight of AIDS and a synopsis of the current day and future. Felt this book was very educationtional and also reminded you of a past so many have chosen to put behind us. Elton was very entertaining as the reader and kept your attention the whole time; even when stating facts and figures. I have recommended this book to many people and feel I am a better person for having read it.

It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

This book was so entertaining. The story was well told and written, I will not spoil anything but I would have imagined a different ending. The twist and turns we fantastic. I can not say enough how much I enjoyed the narration both Julia and Kirby are superb!
