Something scary is happening to boys today. From kindergarten to college, they are less resilient and less ambitious than they were a mere 20 years ago. Fully one-third of men ages 22 to 34 are still living at home with their parents, about a 100 percent increase in the past 20 years. Boys nationwide are increasingly dropping out of school; fewer are going to college. Family physician and research psychologist Dr. Leonard Sax presents practical solutions.

Fascinating, informative, utterly disturbing. This book should be required reading for all parents of boys! Sadly, I see my own son (now 22) in this book. I wish I'd had this information years ago!!

"Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness… He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I’d never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily…Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other’s most private wounds…and desires."

What disappointed you about Bared to You?

Bad writing. Ridiculous and annoying dialogue, plot, and characters.

Has Bared to You turned you off from other books in this genre?

    Yup.

What didn’t you like about Jill Redfield’s performance?

Her voice is okay, but much too little-girl-perky for the character in this (sorry) tale.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    Not that I could see.

    Any additional comments?

Honestly, I'm pretty good at choosing audiobooks that I enjoy. I was so far off with this one! Can't imagine what I was thinking! Glad that doesn't happen very often.....rather costly if it did.

A casual remark on the telephone leads Eleanor Hamilton to an appalling and deeply disturbing discovery: John, her husband of 20 years, has been leading a life of duplicity and betrayal. Shock, jealousy, and anger drive Eleanor to extraordinary limits in her desire for revenge. But then fate intervenes in the shape of a terrible accident.

I absolutely loved this book, couldn't stop listening to it until its quite satisfying conclusion! The writing is superb, the narration equally so. But I will admit that it likely would be more appealing to older female readers. A big thumbs up from me!

In a story that is devaststing in its skill and suspense, - Ted Dekker brings to bear his ability to terrify and compel in BoneMan's Daughters.

The book seemed endless and was endlessly disappointing. Verbose, melodramatic, implausible, ridiculously repetitive, and just plain annoying. I only managed to finish it because I am truly a stubborn woman. Avoid this one.
