So I LVOE adventure books with witty strong characters and this series always delivers. The fargo adventures constantly have me glued to my MP3 player wondering how there going to get there asses out of another jam. I would recomend any of the Fargo storys but I would suggest starting with the first book, they can be stand alone books but are much better if read in order. If you like history mixed with adventure you will surly like this series. Cant wait for another one!
Well I sort of liked the story, it was a little sad and depressing for me but having said that it still kept my interest... even though nothing realy ever happens in the end. I think a better plot line would have made this book ten times better IMO. Not a book I would read again.
I picked this book up mostly because I love the "jack Reacher" novels, this looked very similar, and it was. I would suggest starting with an earlier book in the series, I didnt notice this was book eleven until i already bought it, so I was a little lost, but I was able to figure it out none the less. I would read another one in the future I love the hard hitting story lines with the strong characters.
Still like the "Reacher" novels more but still a fun read.
So I recently finished the last published book in the series and i am still hungry for more. The story closely resembles another series a gratly enjoyed " The Lost Regiment". I like the dynamic between the main characters and also the flow of the book was very smooth, never realy felt lost while reading this series. I love the British guy who is always talking about the animals and plants on the new world, what a fun character. The only rip I have on this series now that I have finished book nine is that there were sevral parts that were just plain slow or unneeded. Love the series as a whole and cant wait for the next book which I think comes out in the summer of 2013.
Just picked up the first book in the series so I can't speak to the story as a whole but the first instalment realy grabbed my attention. The main character loses his family and finds himself in command of an enimy spacecraft after going on a rampage and killing everyone onboard (for slaughtering his family). This auther is very good at describing what is going on in a clear and interesting way which makes this book very fun to listen to. Looking forward to the next book in the series!
I fell in love with this series from the first book. The plot line moves quick and captivates at every new encounter. Both good and bad characters were fun to get to know and made this a very interesting read when wars and disputes broke out. Anyone that likes adventure and exploration books will certainly like listening to this.
Mankind at the brink of extinction, evil threatening to take over, survival uncertain and excellent character plot what more can you ask for. Love this book and would change very few things about it. It was a little annoying that some of the mane characters came off as weak and often required help to survive but other than that it was a fascinating story and well written.
was skeptical and thought this might be cheesy but it turned out to be very captivating and entertaining. Overall good read and leaves you wanting more.
Into the Storm: Destroyer Men
Just picked this book up a few days ago, after finishing the “The Lost Regiment” series. I was looking for a good adventure series, stumble across Destroyer Men and figured I would give it a try. Even though I’m not into battle ships or destroyer boats at all, the story was very solid and ended up being better than expected. I loved the character build, plot line and enjoyed the variety of characters in the book. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I Would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed “The Lost Regiment” or that likes Sci-fi adventures.
