to be be fair there are some good bits and some important issues are raised but this book for me was very slow paced and dull.
a great guide to reminding oneself to rediscover the gentility that underlies our real self that judges not and accepts...
heart rendering, engaging, thought provoking and exceptionally visual....Khaled takes you to another world where you witness tragedy, betrayal, loyalty and hope as if it were infront of you.for a few hours you will have another life in a far away world made seemlingly of more than just your imagination.Hard to believe it is just a fictional entity and his first novel...utterly captivating....i guarantee if you are made of flesh and bones you will shed tears...Be warned...your heart strings will be pulled.
i have studied eastern philosophy and have been meditating for over 15 years...very few books get to the essence of meditation and philosophy..it is so simple...yet impossible for our minds to grasp.being in the now is all there is and will ever be but it is not a concept..it is a state of being that is unreliant on understanding.his words are beautiful but far more blissful is the stillness he encourages you to seek inside you where it has always been and always will be and this bliss is there right now for you to seize
What a sublime masterpiece this is.Unfathomably deep and yet simple.
I would recommend this to anyone who seeks to be inspired and reminded that there is more to life than external beingness. This book made me laugh and it made me cry.It is a testimony to the spirit that lies within each one of us--there to be discovered and set free.Buy this...Enjoy it...and share the wisdom that will unfold. In a nutshell...this is a Classic!!that has the potential to change your life---money well invested--in you!!
