Would you listen to Me Before You again? Why?

Oh yes!! It brought such an emotional response out in me and made me feel so much! I loved it!! It was hard yet the author did an amazing job of helping you get it.

What did you like best about this story?

It didn't have the ending you would expect but I feel like it was the right ending.

Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    No I have not.

Who was the most memorable character of Me Before You and why?

Will because the story was based around him but also he opens your eyes. You hate him, and feel sorry for him then hate home a little more all while loving him.

    Any additional comments?

One of the best books I have ever listened to/read. Really makes you think and feel!!

"I write this sitting at the kitchen sink" is the first line of a novel about love, sibling rivalry, and a bohemian existence in a crumbling castle in the middle of nowhere. Cassandra Mortmin's journal records her fadingly glamorous stepmother, her beautiful, wistful older sister, and the man to whom they owe both their isolation and poverty: Father. The author of one experimental novel, and a minor cause celebre, he has since suffered from writer's block and is determined to drag his family down with him.

Would you try another book from Dodie Smith and/or Jenny Agutter?

I loved the reader but was disappointed in the book. It started slow but then picked up and just when I was excited it fizzled out. Not happy with the ending as I am not a fan of open ended books.

Would you be willing to try another book from Dodie Smith? Why or why not?

Probably not, it got my hopes up and then didn't deliver.

    Which scene was your favorite?

Simon and Cassandra at his house listening to music.

Could you see I Capture the Castle being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

It has been made into a movie.

I loved the first 3 books but this one was not up to par. It was all over the place and hard to find the plot or the purpose. I also wish she would let Anna find someone. I don't believe a women needs a man but I was not haapy with the route she went with Max at all!! I am reluctant to listen to the next book.
