A luxurious yacht in the Sea of Cortez, a birthday cruise for one of the world’s most beautiful women and an invitation no one can refuse...The Power Trip - take if it you dare. From Hollywood icon and mega-seller Jackie Collins comes a thrilling new novel, The Power Trip, set on a state of the art luxury yacht off the coast of Cabo San Lucas. A tropical getaway with a cast of global power-hungry elites turns sour when they find out maybe they don't control as much of the world as they thought....

What would have made The Power Trip better?

I ABSOLUTELY disliked the changing of narrators. It was annoying listening to each one do their own version of the characters. Especially in the beginning of the story when you don't know who is who.
Jackie...I've listened/read all of your books....you should stick to writing and NOT reading!
This has not been one of my favorite books. The characters were kinda "bland". The story build up was good, though a little predictable.
You haven't lost me as a fan, Jackie....but I'll wait to see if the next one redeems my faith.

Would you be willing to try another one of the narrators’s performances?

Separately yes!...combined to one story....hell NO!!

Ember Walsh is a trusting soul with the quiet beauty of her late mother, who perished in a mysterious car crash when Ember was three. A little tomboyish from being raised by her father, Ember packs a punch when a stranger gets pushy with her in a bar, catching the steely blue eyes of a tall, gorgeous tattooed man — Trace Montgomery. Still damaged from her last disastrous relationship and warned off the bad boy by friends, Ember fights the smoldering heat that Trace sparks in her when he begins shadowing her like a dark angel.

Would you try another book from L. A. Fiore and/or Amy Rubinate?

    Probably not.

What could L. A. Fiore have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Not used the same terms over and over again.

How could the performance have been better?

    Tried a little too hard

What character would you cut from Beautifully Damaged?

The main character - She was weak, in need of a reality check and was co-dependent not in love.

With a career, a boyfriend, and a loving family, Piper Kerman barely resembles the reckless young woman who delivered a suitcase of drug money 10 years ago. But that past has caught up with her. Convicted and sentenced to 15 months at the infamous federal correctional facility in Danbury, Connecticut, the well-heeled Smith College alumna is now inmate #11187-424 - one of the millions of women who disappear "down the rabbit hole" of the American penal system.

Where does Orange is the New Black rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I started watching the first season of OITNB and I was hooked. My curiosity got the better of me to see if the show was more "Hollywood" than the book. I found myself trying to pick out characters in her story to the ones I'd watched on Netflix. Some were spot-on...others not so much. It's okay though, the story kept me interested. The show is more far-fetched and entertaining.
The narration was great and believable.
    I can't wait until season 2!
