With his debut album, recorded live at Punch Line San Francisco, Holmes establishes himself as a leading voice in comedy - one with hints of classic greats like Steve Martin. In this hilarious set, he explains why Facebook might have been invented by the government, why he deserves the title "Fun Dad" even though he doesn't have children, and why wonderment is in grave, grave danger.

If you could sum up Impregnated with Wonder in three words, what would they be?

    Fun, insightful comedy

Who was your favorite character and why?

I would say Pete Holmes but "the king" in the middle of the set cracks me up. No spoilers but for me it was a genuine treat the interaction between Pete and the audience.

Have you listened to any of the narrator’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes his new album "Nice Try, the Devil" is a tighter set marking a step for Pete Holmes. I personally love everything he does, Doug Loves Movies, You Made It Weird et al.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Keeping it Crispy since Last Night

    Any additional comments?

This is fun comedy, not a edgy "anthony jeselnik" type of character. I can't emphasize how his joy infects his comedy and the audience at the show. If you're even mildly interested I would say YES! Buy it.

The Thirty-Six Strategies of Ancient China is an easy listen and a fascinating look at how many of the strategies and tactics mentioned by Sun Tzu in his book, The Art Of War, were employed in ancient times. This is one of the most diverse yet accessible collections of Chinese strategies yet assembled. Brief in form, yet endless in wisdom, these fundamental rules of military engagement are easily adapted to the modern office, sports team, or everyday task.
