Building on the premises of Power Thoughts and Living Beyond Your Emotions, Joyce Meyer examines the tremendous power of words. - which are the vehicles that convey our thoughts and emotions - and provides a series of guidelines for making sure that our talk is constructive, healthy, healing and used to good results. In a "Dictionary of God's Word" at the end of the book, Joyce provides dozens of scripture verses, arranged by topic, that she recommends reading and saying out loud as one way of using and claiming healing words.

If you could sum up Change Your Words, Change Your Life in three words, what would they be?

Be mindful of your words. They indeed have power

What other book might you compare Change Your Words, Change Your Life to and why?

I enjoy positive books that encourage you to be mindful of who you have in your inner circle, how you think, speak and act in life. I strongly believe God can help us tame our tongue and enjoy books that reiterate this point.

What does Sandra McCollom bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She brings some enthusiasm to the book while reading the passage. Although, I would have enjoyed the book better if Joyce Meyer read it.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, I wanted to take the information in and comprehend what the audible was saying

Mackenzie Allen Philips' youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later in the midst of his Great Sadness, Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend. Against his better judgment he arrives at the shack on a wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Shack to be better than the print version?

I have the print version of the book and had read it a few times. I was happy to find the book in the audible section. I loved how the material comes to life through the author's imagery when listening to the book.

I really the explanation of how God does not causes things to happen but allows them happen and can still use them for our good.

    Which scene was your favorite?

The loved the entire book from beginning to end. I love how Kate finally let's go on the burden of causing her sisters death. I also like the scene on Judgment and how Mac finally understands what it means to judge people.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but I couldn't because of my schedule.

    Any additional comments?

I loved the explanation of "The Shack" from the author at the end of the book.

Forgive and forget. It should be easy to do—so why don’t we do it? The father who wasn’t always there for us. The mother who punished us. The spouse who betrayed us. The children who will leave us behind. Whoever and whatever the source of hurt, there is always a path to forgiveness. But too often, instead of forgiving, too many of us live with resentments and grudges that keep us stuck, robbing us of joy, peace, and purpose.

If you could sum up Let It Go in three words, what would they be?

    Forgive and Forget

What was one of the most memorable moments of Let It Go?

I like how Bishop Jakes talks about the importance of not being jealous of someone's else's journey and how God has a plan for each one of our lives. The audiobook was a good reminder to hear that opportunity comes often, not just once as we are often taught. We should forgive ourselves, the other party and move forward. If we remain open, we will often be granted a second chance to make things better.

What about T. D. Jakes’s performance did you like?

I like how he incorporated examples from friends, personal experiences and the bible to drive home the point of forgiving not only ourselves but others.

What did you learn from Let It Go that you would use in your daily life?

I never stopped to think about how important it is to apply forgiveness to the people we work with. I usually go home and do my best "to forget about it," not realizing that I'm harboring hurt feelings, anger and resentment; which often not only impact how I interact at work but potentially impacts my personal life. This audiobook has provided new insight on how we should also forgive those we work with, not just family, friends and loved ones.

    Any additional comments?

Bishop Jakes is an awesome teacher!

Before Liz Lemon, before "Weekend Update," before "Sarah Palin," Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: a recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV. She has seen both these dreams come true. At last, Tina Fey's story can be told....

Would you try another book from Tina Fey and/or Tina Fey?

While I expected the book to be a lot funnier, Tina Fey does a great job of narrating the book. It provided me a few chuckles along the way, but I mostly enjoyed listening to her do the different voices. I would listen to another book by Tina Fey as long as she does the narrating.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The entire book kept my attention. You can tell Tina is passionate about her family and career.

Which character – as performed by Tina Fey – was your favorite?

I like the story or Tina being on the cruise ship and also hearing her describe the relationship with her husband. I also liked hearing Tina Fey's dating stories.

What else would you have wanted to know about Tina Fey’s life?

The book gives a good overview of Tina Fey's life and how she came into the business.

    Any additional comments?

In my opinion, the book ended almost abruptly. Not sure what I was expecting, but it seems like the book needed a bit more closure.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I recommend this audiobook for anyone studying for the phr/sphr. The book is great if you have a long commute each day. I would recommend using this book in addition to the books and taking a prep course, not as a sole resource.

What did you like best about this story?

He offers great study tips throughout the book. The recap at the end of the sections and quizzes are equally as helpful.

    Which scene was your favorite?

The role plays use a bit of dry humor to help you understand the points.
