Annabeth is terrified. Just when she’s about to be reunited with Percy - after six months of being apart, thanks to Hera - it looks like Camp Jupiter is preparing for war. As Annabeth and her friends Jason, Piper, and Leo fly in on the Argo II, she can’t blame the Roman demigods for thinking the ship is a Greek weapon. With its steaming bronze dragon figurehead, Leo’s fantastical creation doesn’t appear friendly. Annabeth hopes that the sight of their praetor Jason on deck will reassure the Romans.

Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, doesn’t care much for witches. Still, he’s about to make nice with the local coven by signing a mutually beneficial nonaggression treaty when suddenly the witch population in modern-day Tempe, Arizona, quadruples overnight. And the new girls are not just bad, they’re badasses with a dark history on the German side of World War II. With a fallen angel feasting on local high school students, a horde of Bacchants blowing in from Vegas, and a dangerously sexy Celtic goddess of fire vying for his attention, Atticus is having trouble scheduling the witch hunt.

Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, lives peacefully in Arizona, running an occult bookshop and shape-shifting in his spare time to hunt with his Irish wolfhound. His neighbors and customers think that this handsome, tattooed Irish dude is about twenty-one years old - when in actuality, he’s twenty-one centuries old. Not to mention: He draws his power from the earth, possesses a sharp wit, and wields an even sharper magical sword known as Fragarach, the Answerer. Unfortunately, a very angry Celtic god wants that sword, and he’s hounded Atticus for centuries....

I love this author and i love this story. it is so powerful. I was blown away and loved everything about this audiobook. I have heard some pretty horrible performances but every single person on this book recorded with love. Will listen to this again and again!

the only thing i found annoying with the series was all of the changes with the perfomances. they all pronounced words differently. you would think they would get together and sort that out before recording. but alas. whatareyagonado.

thr story, however, is really great. great writing. cheesy in some spots which can be assumed from a more young adult fiction, but a great story.

Would you listen to The Son of Neptune again? Why?

I was not expecting for the author to dive into point of views from new characters but it was done with elegance and boldness. I really enjoyed this book, and I did not read Percy Jackson series but never found myself lost or confused. Love listening while I work, and probably listen to the first and second books again.
