  • Stardust

    • UNABRIDGED (6 hrs and 27 mins)
    • By Neil Gaiman
    • Narrated By Neil Gaiman

Tristran Thorn has lost his heart to the hauntingly beautiful Victoria Forester. One crisp October night, as they watch, a star falls from the sky, and Victoria promises to marry Tristran if he'll retrieve the star and bring it back for her. It is this promise that sends Tristran on the most unforgettable adventure of his life.

    Bob says: "Witty and magical"

Very creative story line but over all predictable.

  • The Confession: A Novel

    • UNABRIDGED (14 hrs and 33 mins)
    • By John Grisham
    • Narrated By Scott Sowers
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

An innocent man is about to be executed. Only a guilty man can save him. Travis Boyette is such a man. In 1998, in the small East Texas city of Sloan, he abducted, raped, and strangled a popular high-school cheerleader. He buried her body so that it would never be found, then watched in amazement as police and prosecutors arrested and convicted Donté Drumm, a local football star, and marched him off to death row.

    "All Politics and Puff"

This book is very political, more than normal for Grisham. I love his writing but his liberal agenda is hard to digest in some of his books and this is one of them. If you are conservative in thought and believe in God then you will be offended by this book. He goes out of his way to be offensive specific to Baptist and anyone who believes that all people should be accountable for their actions, not just the conservatives. This was a very disappointing listen and probably my last of Grisham's.

  • Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Sanction

    • UNABRIDGED (16 hrs and 6 mins)
    • By Eric Van Lustbader
    • Narrated By Jeremy Davidson
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Jason Bourne needs to regain his life as David Webb, so he accepts an invitation from his beloved mentor, Dominic Specter, to join the Linguistics department at Georgetown. It's a relief to leave the Bourne identity behind, but Jason soon finds himself in a life-or-death confrontation in which every move might be his last.

    Regan says: "He's no Ludlum!"

I have been a huge Robert Ludlum fan for many years. I found this book to be somewhat difficult to follow. The writer spent far to much time attempting to communicate his left of center views. I read fiction to be entertained not indoctrinated.

  • Vagabond: The Grail Quest, Book II

    • ABRIDGED (6 hrs and 3 mins)
    • By Bernard Cornwell
    • Narrated By Tim Pigott-Smith

1347 is a year of war and unrest. England's army is fighting in France, encouraging the Scots to invade their old enemy. Thomas of Hookton, sent back to England to follow an ancient trail which suggests his family once owned the Holy Grail, instead becomes embroiled in the savage fight when the Scots come to Durham. Gregory says: "Outstanding action in the Middle Ages!"

This series could be the next Rome for HBO. Could not read this fast enough.

  • Fallen Idols

    • UNABRIDGED (15 hrs and 42 mins)
    • By J.F. Freedman
    • Narrated By Richard Ferrone

From The New York Times best-selling author of Bird's-Eye View comes this twisting saga of a family changed forever by tragedy. When the husband and wife team of Walt and Jocelyn Gaines travelled to South America to contribute their archaeological expertise at a newly uncovered Mayan site, no one could have predicted what would happen next. Fallen Idols is a riveting novel of uncommon discoveries.

    DMHVetSurveyor says: "Great Characters"

Very slow moving book. I am falling asleep just writing this review.
