USA Today best-selling author Amanda Ashley has been crafting fan-favorite vampire romances for over 25 years. In Bound by Night, the Wolfram estate is a crumbling wreck of its former glory. Once featured in a horror film, it is said to be haunted by all manner of paranormal spooks. But Elena doesn’t believe any of that nonsense and decides to spend the night there anyway. Imagine her surprise when she awakes in the arms of a vampire - the most beautiful man she’s ever seen.

Marilyn says: "Bound by Night, but not by editing."

    Story

This story is a very good story it started off a little slow and the voice was kind of relaxing and was putting me to sleep, the narrator makes a big difference in a story but after the first part of the story the story and the narrator kicked it up and the story and ending was very good.

Who Asked You? opens as Trinetta leaves her two young sons with her mother, Betty Jean, and promptly disappears. BJ, a trademark McMillan heroine, already has her hands full dealing with her other adult children, two opinionated sisters, an ill husband, and her own postponed dreams - all while holding down a job as a hotel maid. Her son Dexter is about to be paroled from prison; Quentin, the family success, can't be bothered to lend a hand; and taking care of two lively grandsons is the last thing BJ thinks she needs.

I loved this story & Phylicia Rashad was an awesome narrator. The narrator who did nurse Kim was not good she was reading too fast like the paragraph was one big sentence and for them to describe her as sexy the narrator voice was harsh and manly. It was a very good story with a happy ending. I'm glad the grandmother stepped up and took care of her grandchildren and gave them a chance at life. I like how everybody was together and took care one another. This book was a breathe of fresh air.

Whip-smart, hardworking, and on her way to an MBA, Chloe Mills has only one problem: her boss, Bennett Ryan. He’s exacting, blunt, inconsiderate - and completely irresistible. A beautiful bastard. Bennett has returned to Chicago from France to take a vital role in his family’s massive media business. He never expected that the assistant who’d been helping him from abroad was the gorgeous, innocently provocative - completely infuriating - creature he now has to see every day. Despite the rumors, he’s never been one for a workplace hookup. But Chloe’s so tempting he’s willing to bend the rules....

What did you love best about Beautiful Bastard?

I loved that even though he was as close to perfect as possible he didn't let it cloud his thoughts of him falling for Ms. Mills. Also that he put himself on a pedestal because he was a man of substance not because he was HOT!!! This book is a good listen if you like sex it has sex, sex, and more sex.

What three words best describe Grace Grant’s voice?

The narrator was a good narrator but I don't think she was good for this book. I think her style is good for documentaries or something where you're just reading words because I think she was lacking emotion for some things that was supposed to be emotional.

Along Came a Spider first introduced Alex Cross, the brilliant homicide detective. Would you consider the audio edition of Along Came a Spider to be better than the print version?

I've never read it but this version was better than the movie than again any book is usually better than the movie because a movie has to sum it up in 2 hrs.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

The plot was a good plot if you are intrigued by the criminal mind and like to know how and why a criminal thinks.

What about Charles Turner’s performance did you like?

I like the narrators ability to effectively play a split personality.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes once the book caught my intention I wanted to finish it.

    Story

The story was a good story but was too long without enough action. I think if stories are going to be embellished or drawn out it should be done with action or a point.... Sort of like a punch line to a joke. I was very surprised by the endings of all the women stories. Although throughout the story they were more than naive that kind of aggravated me because it was unrealistic for a woman not to snoop it's in their nature. Overall the book wasn't the worst but it wasn't the best either.

This was a very good listen to be a collaboration story. Usually a strong writer is paired with a new writer or a writer who's trying to get their foot in the door but these were 2 very good stories from 2 good writers..... It was sad that the Rich girl learned a life lessin literally but that story is real and I can definitely relate..... The 2nd story is to open aperson's eyes to what is really real and also to know that things are not what they always seem... This is a must listen.

The story is well put together and moving at the pace it should be..... I love how the writer makes you feel as though you are growing with the characters and I also love the narrator because she's amazing at not making them all sound the same. She's excited and somber when she needs to be.

    Story

I don't know the history of writer this was my first listen but this book went on and on about nothing. The writer seeems very under developed it wasn't terrible but it wasn't nothing to recommend either...... The narrator was animated as needed and had a good reading voice but the story line was simple and the writer tried to embellish it but filled in the blanks with a whole lot of nothingness...... The main character was an airhead or gullible in more than one instance and that aggravated me a bit...... The ending was a good one with a hell of a twist didn't see that coming at all but you were so bored with the rest of the story it's more like thank God it's over...... Naomi keep writing though you have potential.

Sixteen-year-old Zoey Redbird has just been Marked as a fledgling vampire and joins the House of Night, a school where she will train to become an adult vampire. That is, if she makes it through the Change - and not all of those who are Marked do. It sucks to begin a new life, especially away from her friends, and on top of that, Zoey is no ordinary fledgling. She has been chosen as special by the vampire Goddess Nyx.
