We found paradise. Now what? Student Paul Kostakis has caught the attention of Ludo, an Artificial Intelligence obsessed with games and stories. In return for a few little favors, she's offering "brain uploading". She can fatally dice your brain, scan it, and recreate you in a virtual-reality heaven she controls. You can do anything in there: become a griffin, upgrade your mind, fall in love, or go mad. When Paul accepts Ludo's offer, sooner than he would've liked, he learns that people can find real problems even in a digital world.

I found this to be a very interesting Sci Fi/Fantasy story. I like how the author builds the story and characters. I especially liked the examination of AI and the factions either for or against it. I thought the narrator, too, did a phenomenal job on this book. I would definitely be interested in more from this duo.

I thought this one was, by far, the best in the series yet. It is less misogynistic and whiny. I found that I started to care more about the characters during this book, which is definitely a positive sign. I have hope that the author has finally toughened up the women and they came across less weak and dependent on the men. The narrator continues to do a good job on this book. All in all, I'm actually starting to get into the series, but now I have to wait for the last 2 books to come out.

What happens when fairy tales get real? Things are about to get real - and twisted - by two very different authors. Twisted tales based loosely on the classics. Can you face reality?

So, this was an interesting concept. Retelling of classic fairy tales in a modern setting with some sort of dark twist. For the most part, I really liked them. Some more than others, sure, but I found myself entertained throughout the 3 and a half hours of this book.

This was a grisly and disturbing story. If you are easily offended, disturbed, or grossed out, you should just skip this book. If you are someone who likes horror stories like this, you need to pick this one up. You will find yourself muttering, "damn..." to yourself throughout the book and, like me, think about what you just listened to for a few days. To me, that screams great book.

This is a superb modern day apocalypse story with a fantastic narrator. The author does a good job of telling the story of an average guy surviving the end of the world as he knows it. I liked how realistic-seeming things were in the book. I will most definitely look for more from this duo.

I am a HUGE fan of zombie apocalypse stories and so was quick to jump at the chance to listen to another one. I'm glad I did. The author does a great job of building the cause of the apocalypse into the story line. The characters were well developed and the book was narrated very well. Heather Firth did a great job of bringing the book to life. I will DEFINITELY seek out the rest of the books in this series once they are released.

This was a well written, if sad, prehistoric fantasy romance story. The narrator did a good job of bringing this short story to life. It was a good story, but damn, I wish it wasn't so sad....

As with the first book, a lot of people have criticized this series saying things like there is no plot, too much sex, or whatever. I found the premise of the main character being a fallen law enforcement officer going into a long term virtual reality tester in an RPG really interesting. The main character's approach to the game is interesting in it's differences from "normal" gamers. I found the psychological aspects of the story really interesting. The superb narration helped the story come alive in my imagination. All in all, this was a fantastic and unique audio book that doesn't focus on the game mechanics above all else. I've already purchased the 3rd book.
