I found this life-changing and mind-expanding when I first saw the series on PBS in 1991. Listening to it again makes me want to buy the DVDs. Campbell is nothing less than amazing.

Ten houseguests, trapped on an isolated island, are the prey of a diabolical killer. A famous nursery rhyme is framed and hung in every room of the mansion: 10 little Indian boys went out to dine; One choked his little self and then there were nine...

Rosalind says: "My new favorite book!"
    "Brilliant!"
    Overall

I also stayed up way too late listening to this one. Hugh Fraser is a fantastic reader and the story is full of 'edge of your seat' suspense. Christie was a master!

The sun rides high over the British Empire and the light still sparkles brightly in Amelia Peabody's eye as she returns for her second adventure in archaeology and romantic mystery as recounted in her lively journal, The Curse of the Pharaohs.

    Michelle says: "So much fun!"
    "Brilliant!"
    Overall

Barbara Rosenblatt is the perfect Amelia. She's also the perfect Emerson, Evelyn and all the other characters. Her range as a narrator is astounding and she rivals Jim Dale (in the Harry Potter series) for her ability to completely inhabit a character. Warning: Elizabeth Peters' Amelia Peabody series is addictive. I wish Audible would make all the books available with Ms. Rosenblatt.

In 1917-1918, 4.5 million Americans served in World War One. Of that number only 14 remain. The WWI Living History Project honors the sacrifices and contributions of America's last surviving WWI veterans. The producers have travelled the country in search of the men and women who made the world (in President Wilson's words) "safe for democracy".

You are hearing the memories of men well past the age of 100 who are among the last surviving WWI vets. A very appropos listen for Veteran's Day.

You look good. Your resume is impressive. You fit the job description perfectly. But that's not enough to get the job you want. You need 101 Great Answers before you walk through the door.

Floor says: "Great cram session for an interview!"
    "I used this!"
    Overall

Like the other reviewer said, I had no idea how to answer the "Tell me about yourself" question until I heard this tape. It really helped me prepare for an interview with a top company. It had lots of other good advice but it was worth it just to know how to answer that one question.

Hear Dickens' gift for social commentary in this classic story of the poor orphan, Oliver. In this time-tested classic, Dickens aimed to expose the filth of the London underworld as well as attack the inhumanity of the New Poor Law of 1834. This audiobook is a stunning performance by the award-winning Miriam Margolyes, who is considered one of the most knowledgeable and brilliant actors/interpreters of Dickens.

One of the better audiobooks I've purchased. Ms. Margolyes is a wonderful narrator and she is able to create believable voices for all the characters.

The best-selling author of the Alienist series returns with a chilling elaboration on the Sherlock Holmes canon, as the famed detective investigates a pair of gruesome murders, which cast an otherworldly shadow as far as Queen Victoria herself.
