Dr. Gary Chapman identifies five basic languages of love and then guides couples towards a better understanding of their unique languages of love. Learn to speak and understand your mate's love language, and in no time you will be able to effectively love and truly feel loved in return. Skillful communication is within your grasp!

    William says: "Highly Recommended"
"A sure way to inject life into your marriage."

My wife and I discovered this book about eight years ago. It is a practical book that touches on a problem most couples experience - different ways of expressing love. Dr. Chapman is equally funny and brilliant on his exposition of the love languages. I have successfully used and practiced the principles he teach in his book not only in my marriage but with dozens of couples I have mentored. It works! Speaking the love language of your spouse will take your marriage to new heights or revive the relationship you're in. Read it and apply it.

Marcus, a Roman officer in Nero's army, risks his career, his family, and even his life when he falls in love with a Christian woman named Callina. In order to win Callina's love, Marcus must come to understand the true meaning of her religion, even as Rome sinks under the excesses of Nero and Christians are thrown to the lions. Quo Vadis brims with passion and life as it explores one of the turning points in history.

    Any additional comments?

I've grown spoiled by the quality of great narrators in my Audible library. Unfortunately, Mr. Davidson's narration of Quo Vadis? did not work for me. His reading style seemed more suited for lecturing at a University.

The year is 1925. It is sixty degrees below zero. The wind sweeps tons of snow over the deep-frozen Alaskan landscape. The nearest railhead is seven hundred miles away. Airplanes cannot fly. The way to Nome is blocked by a treacherous frozen sound, an icebound port, and mountains to the west. But there is a diphtheria epidemic in Nome. The children need serum from the outside world if they are to survive. Their only hope is a few chosen Eskimo drivers and their teams of dogs.

    "Excellent!!"
    Overall

It's seldom I come across a modern book that both entertains as well as educates me. This work did both. I learned so much about Alaska, their people, their way of life. I felt transported into their world. I learned not only about diptheria but also felt the agony and despair that those children experienced. My spirit was exulted by the human drama of common man transformed into heroes by a love of their fellow men. And more than anything, I gain a new appreciation and love for the amazing dogs. Simply put --- excellent!
