I am quiet and love being comfortable. I love curling up in a corner either reading or listening to a nice romantic book.

This is my first book by the author and needless to say it was interesting but dragged a little too much for me. It was not my normal historical but it was a good listen. The narrator did not bring this book alive like she could have. Just because of the storyline and this narrator, I found myself losing interest in this book more than once.

I read the first book in this series a while back and had to refresh myself with it and bring me up to this second book. Ms. Smith has done a really good job however, she needs to bring these books our faster. In this series alone there is at least, 4 more books to come to match up all the League's Rogues with romance and adventure. Cedric I predict will be next then Ashton and so on..............both already have female that we have read about that is boiling their blood. Ms. Smith bring it on, I am ready with a bottle of wine!

1264 A.D. - Davyss de Winter is the champion for King Henry III, a powerful and arrogant man that descends from a long line of powerful knights. He is also a much-sought after man and has had more than his share of female admirers, including a besotted baron's daughter who bore him bastard twins.

I liked this book a lot however, I hate that the author made Davyss into a lunatic after his wife and himself grew that bond with each other. I think it was unnecessary to portray him just going off the rockers if she was taken etc. We know he is strong just let us picture him being the strong willed determined man he is and kick ass until he got her back. All in all it was a good book and I had a great time listening to it.

But swept off to his castle in the Scottish highlands, and into his strong embrace, Danielle was soon possessed by a raging passion for the husband she had vowed to despise.

I was skeptic listening at the beginning of this book but as it continued on, I became very intrigued. It was well written and I like the characters a lot. I was really surprised that no one picked up on Danielle being the King's daughter! Although I can see that if she looked as beautiful as her mom like they kept saying. I hated her childish attitude at times but then again she was a child in herself no older than 16-17 years so I can understand. All in all, I enjoyed this book and shall look for more from the author.

Someone is prepared to kill again and again until Tormand is found guilty and hanged. And his only hope of discovering the culprit lies with Morainn Ross, a reclusive, sensual beauty gifted with second sight. Branded a witch, Morainn has never met a man who accepted her strange talent, much less one who could so easily inflame her passion. There's no resisting Tormand's rugged masculinity - and no escaping the enemy, who grows more twisted every day.

I didn't expect this to be the second book because book one ended with another lady being taken or lead to the Grant's keep but I absolutely loved Brenna's story. I was listening to the book and immediately thought about Celiac disease. Those kids made me want to laugh and cry at the same time! Loved, loved this book in the series and can't wait for Book 3.

Lady Madeline's heart is not for sale - especially not to a notorious outlaw like Rhys FitzHenry. Yet Madeline's hand has been sold, to none other than this battle-weary warrior with a price on his head. A more dutiful maiden might cede to the Laird's command and meekly accept her fate, but Madeline has never been obedient. She decides to run away, though she never dreams that Rhys will pursue her.

I began listening to this book before I realized that there was a book 1, however, I was so enthralled that I could not stop listening. (Note to anyone: it is not advised to listen into the wee hours of the morning when you have to work.) Anyhow Corrie did a good job on the narration and I loved how the story line flowed. Can't wait for book 3 to come so I can see how it all ends and how our villain gets caught! This series is well worth the credits!

Penelope Adair, wife and partner of sleuth Barnaby Adair, is so hugely pregnant she can barely waddle, much less assist, when Barnaby is summoned by Inspector Stokes of Scotland Yard to help investigate the violent murder of a gentleman at a house party. Penelope insists that she and Griselda, Stokes's wife, receive reports to stay duly informed of their husbands' discoveries. But what Barnaby and Stokes uncover leads only to more questions. The victim had been thrown out of the house party days before, so why had he returned? And how did he come to have the famous Finsbury diamonds in his pocket?
