    "Excellent reading."
    Overall

I have only read two of Baldacci's books, both are great! This one is fast pacing, with plenty of action and suspense. A really good story very well narated. I recomend it.

In a New York City fifty years in the future, Detective Eve Dallas tracks down those who break the law - including the ones sworn to uphold it. Eve Dallas and her partner, Peabody, are following up on a brutal, senseless crime - an elderly grocery owner killed by three stoned punks for nothing more than kicks and snacks. And for the first time, Peabody is primary detective on the case, which means she has to get used to a new level of authority and responsibility. Good thing she learned the ropes from a master like Eve. But after rounding up the perps, Peabody stumbles upon a much trickier situation.

This is a well written story, extremely well narated by Mr. Ericksen, fast pacing and captivating. The ending is a little predictible but it is a great book.

Nine people have been slain in New York City, nine strangers with nothing in common - the apparent victims of a frighteningly elusive serial killer. Only one thing links the dead: postcards they received, mailed from Las Vegas, announcing the day they would die.

    "Great story!"
    Overall

A great novel and great listen, one has to be very attentive to the story because it has sudden twists that test your concentration abilities. It is the first book I've read from this author and I will be following his next publications.
