"No More Abridged Books"
I've been a huge Star Wars fan since I was kid and saw the original movie for a friend's birthday party on May 29, 1977, but I don't think I'll be buying any more SW books...
A) The abridged versions are terrible. A big part of the SW universe is the description, most of which is cut out in the abridgement.
2) The current and future books are all in nine-or-ten part series. It seems like the authors and publishers are just stringing the readers along... A single story from beginning to end costs well over $100.
"Tell One Story, Not Three"
Seems like the author didn't feel he had enough of one story for a full book, so he mashed three stories together. There's the flashback story of Moore's training as a Navy SEAL and the mission that went bad, the story of trying to take down one of the world's biggest drug lords, and the story of the terrorists. If he had left one out, the book would have been better.
"Not really a "Pip and Flinx Novel""
Much like Trouble Magnet, Bloodhype is a story set in the same Universe as Flinx, and he appears in the book, but little of the story involves him. It seems like ADF added Flinx as an afterthought. I have half-an-hour left to listen to, and there hasn't been one thing done by Flinx that couldn't have been done by another character.
Otherwise, the story is OK. Not particularly riveting, but not a bad listen.
