This book has some great ideas in it. Things that I have not heard before. Worth IT.
I listened to the original. IT WAS SO MUCH BETTER. The format is a poor idea in this one. There is no narrator. Each character needs to describe what is happening to him/her resulting in them telling you what happened. ie. "you just pushed me on the bed" this would never happen in a good story! Get the original. It is a really good version.
So well read. Its like being there. I was so zoned out into it that I was surprised little people were not next to me.
This is one of those books I buy and give to my friends. I like all the planning that went into the journey. I love all the crazy people that went along. Can you imagine a modern president doing this?
I love the worlds fair planning stuff. The murders in the middle just add flavor.
You feel for the main character after awhile, even though he is a jerk. It had some good observations of the justice system that were defiantly good. Just few and far between.
I have read a lot of books that are the same old thing and to be honest this book does have some of that. It does have some concepts that I never got before though. Really worth while.
The first part and last part are narrated by Arnold. It sounds like someone doing an impression of him. It is hilariousness it self.
On top of that really interesting and a bit educational.
Very descriptive, good mix of business and murder. I have this picture of a torso stuck in my mind.
Very even handed. Could happen again. Good to read if you are in any organization.
