It’s been a year and a half since the women of the Sisterhood received their presidential pardons, but the freedom they craved has come at a high price. The impossibly lucrative positions handed out to them by the mysterious Global Securities company have turned out to be golden handcuffs - scattering them around the world, cutting off communication, and leaving them in miserable isolation. But a happy homecoming at the old Virginia farmhouse is marred by the hijacking of Nikki and Kathryn’s private jet.

When the body of controversial talk-show host Walton Weeks is discovered hanging from a tree on the outskirts of Paradise, police chief Jesse Stone finds himself at the center of a highly public case. When another dead body, that of a young woman, is discovered just a few days later, the pressure to solve the crimes becomes almost unbearable.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

This book listened like hearing a court reporter read back a transcript. He said She said He said She said

Has High Profile turned you off from other books in this genre?

    no

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Scott Sowers?

anyone who can do different voices.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I don't know I kept falling asleep in the first chapter

    Any additional comments?

the monotone reading, the lack of use of voices makes this boring. I love the Jesse Stone movies but this was boring to the max

Only minutes after Abbie Elliot and her three best friends step off of a private helicopter, they enter the most luxurious, sumptuous, sensually pampering hotel they have ever been to. Their lavish presidential suite overlooks Monte Carlo, and they surrender: to the sun and pool, to the sashimi and sake, to the Bruno Paillard champagne. In the morning's harsh light, Abbie awakens on a yacht, surrounded by police. Something awful has happened - something impossible, unthinkable. Abbie, Winnie, Serena, and Bryah are arrested and accused of the foulest crime imaginable.

What would have made Guilty Wives better?

    Everything and anything

What was most disappointing about James Patterson and David Ellis ’s story?

The out come is obvious before the first chapter ends. The process of the trial is obvious when the women are being interrigated. I probably will not even finish this books the story is slow boring and no suspense involved. The death of the women in prision is forshadowed to be obvious, the treatment is obvious once we know who was killed. the rest is just so far beneath Patterson that it is hard to put into words.

What aspect of January LaVoy’s performance would you have changed?

all the french words Her voice is hard to listen to when she is trying to be a man and when she is speaking french.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

none so far. I am on chapter 40 or so and so far nothing has perked my interest or given me a reason to continue other than I paid too much for the book.

    Any additional comments?

I am finding the last several books written with other people are getting harder and harder to listen to or to read. The old Patterson seems to be gone and the new one is not nearly as good and does not live up to expections.
