Great characters and the story is mostly believable. I love that Derek is far from perfect & doesn't magically transform into something he isn't. Of course, it does have an over the top finale that seem to be commonplace in Kleypas novels, but still a great read. Narration is enjoyable as well.
Narrator speaks fairly quickly, but does a fine job with all the accents & gives you the feel that the characters are indeed Irish. The storyline was fairly predictable. Also, it did seem like a lot of focus was placed on the main female character dealing with her emotional issues & less on the actual relationship development between the two.
I love most of the "in death" series, but this book is just to put it simply...boring. Truly disappointing. I just gave up on my second attempt to listen to it in hopes that maybe I just didn't get it the first time. No such luck. The majority of this story is listening to Eve or other sub characters go on & on & on about one topic or another. No real action, no real mystery, no real romance. If you enjoy listening to Eve go off on her long winded, self-righteous tangents than this would be a book for you.
