Before Sex and the City, Carrie Bradshaw was a small town girl who knew she wanted more. She's ready for real life to start, but first she must navigate her senior year of high school. Up until now, Carrie and her friends have been inseparable. Then Sebastian Kydd comes into the picture, and a friend's betrayal makes her question everything.

There are soo many books that are far from reality, so this was a nice surprise. If only I could find more books like this one in the teen section.

  • You Are Not So Smart: Why You Have Too Many Friends on Facebook, Why Your Memory Is Mostly Fiction, and 46 Other Ways You're Deluding Yourself

An entertaining illumination of the stupid beliefs that make us feel wise. You believe you are a rational, logical being who sees the world as it really is, but journalist David McRaney is here to tell you that you're as deluded as the rest of us. But that's OK - delusions keep us sane. You Are Not So Smart is a celebration of self-delusion. It's like a psychology class, with all the boring parts taken out, and with no homework. Based on the popular blog of the same name, You Are Not So Smart collects more than 46 of the lies we tell ourselves everyday.

What did you love best about You Are Not So Smart?

There was plenty of information that was interesting and somewhat applicable to life.

    Any additional comments?

He said your not so smart long enough that i was starting to believe it. I didn't appreciate that. "You are.. You would.. You think..." was littered throughout the story and was worth the deduction of a star or two. If that was taken out of the story I probably would have listened to it for a second time just because the studies were mind boggling and made me well informed on the topic at hand.

In her hilarious New York Times best seller You’ll Never Blue Ball in This Town Again, Heather McDonald recounted her adventures as an unwilling virgin in Hollywood. Now happily married with three wonderful kids, she shows that life as a grown-up - even a pretend grown-up - has its challenges. Heather’s a working mom with parents who live next door, a sister who keeps asking for one of her still-fertile eggs, and friends who are up to more hijinks than even Heather can handle.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, I couldn't stop listening to it. It was filled with entertaining stories and was well written.

    Any additional comments?

It's too bad it wasn't longer.
