At the end of her best-selling memoir Eat, Pray, Love, Elizabeth Gilbert fell in love with Felipe, a Brazilian-born man of Australian citizenship who'd been living in Indonesia when they met. Resettling in America, the couple swore eternal fidelity to each other, but also swore to never, ever, under any circumstances get legally married. But providence intervened one day in the form of the United States government....

This book simply amazed me. The writer must have been in my head. Normally, I find non-fiction boring, however, Elizabeth Gilbert's thorough research on the state of matrimony brought me to new levels of realization. Every person who is married or contemplating marriage should read this book. It is not written to influence, rather to inform you. I want to know what happens next.

Why we think it’s a great listen: The most celebrated performance in all of Audible’s history, The Help has nearly 2,000 5-star reviews from your fellow listeners. We hear the print book’s not bad, either. In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women - mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends - view one another.

    "Best Audiobook Ever"
    Overall

Many have said before me, this is my first review. I am inspired to share my thoughts as well about this book - it was riviting. As an African-American female, born and raised in the northeast, I was alternately shocked, appalled, crying, and laughing aloud as I listened. I have listened 3 times and can't get enough. It's like reading the Bible, each time I listen, I hear something new or have another thought, feel more enlightned. and this is far and away the best audiobook I have ever purchased. Every audio customer should hear this one. I hope it will be made into a movie and done as well as the audio. What an absolute delight.Congratulations Audible.com - you picked a winner.
