"Another Tortured Romance......"
Romance fans
Long, long, very long reflection.....
Wonderful tone
Boredom
I wish the clues to content were more clear to me
"Please fire the narrator"
An editor, a plot, anything original and something exciting
Nope. There are many better Zombie novels
Nope. He sounds as if he is seeing the material for the first time and isn't sure where the sentences break or end
Oh my goodness..too many to list
It's not that difficult to write better material. The waste of time saddens me.
"A terrifying, frustrating situation"
Wouldn't know
Kept getting kicked back
Burke
What lengths to hide a town?
Wow! This novel really had me going. I was so angry at one point I put the novel down (overnight). I was completely taken in and I usually work everything out.
"No fairy tale monsters here"
Action and character development
Talulla herself, who grows and develops embracing her personal faults and strengths as she continues forward
not my favorite
Mystery surrounding Marco pricks at the memory
How could the monsters be portrayed so clearly without the language, personal desires and actions that some of the previous listeners complain of? We are listening to philosophic ruminations of a monster, after all. This novel is not represented as a fairy tale or a story to make us imagine ourselves transformed. I certainly cringed at some passages but enjoyed the story too much to be sidetracked. I was more disappointed with the faulty pronunciation of certain words. I got used to the reader and have no problem dealing with issues of accents and such when the story is superior.
"Zombie Adventure"
Different twist on Zombies with a strong, flawed hero
Excitement and action with unexpected developments
Can't decide
Yes
Some scenes were smoking!
"PERKY MUCH??"
Teens who are looking for 'cute' books
Just the author and reader
Nope.
A big cringe and sorrow over wasted money
When I think of Zombies, I'm looking for horror and action
"WOULD have been a really fun story..."
The quality of the recording really messes this up. Toward the end of chapters - over and over - (AND over!) the audio just SKIPS. There is no way to tell how many words or sentences or paragraphs might be missing. Otherwise an interesting and exciting story and great narrator.
"Stony!"
I read EVERYTHING even while being a fantasy junky. This novel was surprising and moving and ....about ZOMBIES?! This is a reverse play for all previous tales of the genre. While the gore and excitement remain there are many surprises and even a 'feel-good' ending. I have to give extra kudo's for originality, otherwise I rarely give a 5-star. For myself, this was a satisfying escape and fully worth time and credit.
