This book was outstanding. They could not have picked a better person to do the voice read. He made it feel the way it did. A little cussing in it which is not my preference but I do understand that. It wasn't overwhelming. Very insightful, full of "behind the scenes" information. I really enjoyed it.The book showed that more than sports skill-Shaq is also an educated business man-an important lesson. Great book for young people (although be ware of a few cuss words). Even if your not a Shaquille O'Neal fan you will enjoy this book alot.

In the instant #1 New York Times bestseller Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man, Steve Harvey gave millions of women around the globe insight into what men really think about love, intimacy, and commitment. In his new book, he zeros in on what motivates men and provides tips on how women can use that knowledge to get more of what they need out of their relationships.

Initially it starts out about dating which was less interesting because I'm already married...glad I didn't turn it in there. I can honestly say after listening to this book I have a new outlook on my husband and my marriage. Didn't see that coming. Steve really opens up about the realities and expectations of women and the mind set about them (from a mans perspective). IT ALL JUST MAKES SENSE! For those who are seeking a partner-this is definetly something you need to read...for those who already have one...we may have missed the boat in the beginning but there is still hope!
Again, this is a must read for all women. I was also very pleased that there was no profanity.

Good Morning America viewers have come to know and love Lucimarian Roberts, the 88-year-old mother of coanchor Robin Roberts. On the day after Hurricane Katrina blew through the Gulf Coast, they watched Robin, standing amid the remnants of her hometown, recount the desperate search for her mother - and her return to safety. Robin was not surprised to learn that even as the winds howled and floodwaters rose, Lucimarian sang hymns....

This was a very "nice" book. I understand the logic behind it totally-however, I thought it was a book about Robin and her Mom. It more centered around her Moms story, which made good sense. It was a very inspirational story of someone who learned at an early age to work hard, be grateful and you can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens you and a good family. Loved the hymns at the end.
Not quite what I was looking for, but I did enjoy it.

One of the most talented and polarizing athletes of our generation, Michael Vick’s stunning story has captured news headlines across the nation. From his poverty-stricken youth, to his success on the field in high school and college, to his rise to NFL stardom and his fall from grace, Finally Free shows how a gifted athlete’s life spiraled out of control under the glare of money and fame, aided by his own poor choices. In his own words, Vick details his regrets, his search for forgiveness....

This was a nice book. I enjoyed hearing how his life has changed dramatically through the things he has suffered at his own hand; however, I feel like he stayed away from the "things he did". I understand that may have been deliberate in an effort to focus on the restoration of Michael versus the mistakes. I would really like to have known more about the trouble to appreciate the triumph even more. None the less, it was a good book with many life lessons. Certanly something I would recommend.

Forgive and forget. It should be easy to do—so why don’t we do it? The father who wasn’t always there for us. The mother who punished us. The spouse who betrayed us. The children who will leave us behind. Whoever and whatever the source of hurt, there is always a path to forgiveness. But too often, instead of forgiving, too many of us live with resentments and grudges that keep us stuck, robbing us of joy, peace, and purpose.

On the eve of the 2012 Grammy Awards, the world learned of a stunning tragedy: Whitney Houston, unquestionably one of the most remarkable and powerful voices in all of music, had been silenced forever. Over the weeks and months that followed, family, friends, and fans alike tried to understand how such a magnificent talent and beautiful soul could have been taken so early and so unexpectedly. Honest and heartbreaking, this is a mother's story of tears, joy, and her greatest love of all: her daughter, Whitney.

When Vanessa Williams was growing up, she had a plan: She'd go to college and major in musical theater; afterward she'd get her MFA from the Yale School of Drama, and then she would embark on a successful career on Broadway. But her life took a detour and she wound up the first black Miss America in September 1983 (an accomplishment that she never planned for or desired), only to be forced to resign ten months later due to a nude photo scandal - much to the shock of her mother, Helen, who had told her, "never pose nude for anyone."

On November 10, 2008, Dr. Eben Alexander was driven into coma by a disease so lethal that only 1 in 10,000,000 survive. Seven days later, he awakened with memories of a fantastic odyssey deep into another realm that were more real than this earthly one - memories that included meeting a deceased birth sister he had never known existed. Dr. Alexander deployed all his knowledge as a scientist to find out whether his mind could have played a trick on him. In its shutdown state, there was no way it could have.

It’s all about the food…. For the Robertsons, family is typified by the dinner table, where both food and fables are dished up with equal care. Anyone with a good story - whether it be a hunting escapade or one of the children’s antics - is welcome to share. And that’s what this family is all about - sharing, caring for one another, and the love of good food. Chapters are built around recipes that represent each stage of the Robertson life. What do faith, family, ducks, and money have in common? Korie and Willie Robertson!

Where does The Duck Commander Family rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

    One of the best

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Duck Commander Family?

Finding out the beginning of this family, how it all started and that Phil was absent in the beginning from the family. By th eway he treats Mrs. "K" now on the show, I would never have believed that

    Which scene was your favorite?

When Korie talked about how the brothers all respected eachother and none of them can do what the other does-but they all do what they do well and thats what makes the company successful

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Various moments, this is just a good feeling book and read wonderfully

    Any additional comments?

I loved the way they transitioned between Korie and Willie. I love when books are read by the Authors, and this was especially nice since they transitioned back and forth
