Although born to rule, Aidan lives as a scribe in a remote Irish monastery on the far, wild edge of Christendom. Secure in work, contemplation, and dreams of the wider world, a miracle bursts into Aidan's quiet life. He is chosen to accompany a small band of monks on a quest to the fabled city of Byzantium, where they are to present the beautiful and costly hand-illuminated Book of Kells to the emperor of all Christendom.

Excellent writing and narration. Characters were all well defined without going overboard. The story was as interesting as it was long. You will not regret purchasing this one. A keeper..

The Mote In God's Eye is their acknowledged masterpiece, an epic novel of mankind's first encounter with alien life that transcends the genre. No lesser an authority than Robert A. Heinlein called it "possibly the finest science fiction novel I have ever read".

What can I say? I am a big Demille and Brick fan. This one is a really good listen and keeps you interested start to finish. That's what is so good about DeMille. He spends the perfect amount of time on character development and then pushes ahead at breakneck speed...

Across America, a mysterious pathogen transforms ordinary people into raging killers, psychopaths driven by a terrifying, alien agenda. The human race fights back, yet after every battle the disease responds, adapts, using sophisticated strategies and brilliant ruses to fool its pursuers. The only possible explanation: the epidemic is driven not by evolution but by some malevolent intelligence.

Bummer. Don't waste your time. This one is a yawner and the plot is predictable and contrived.

Beyond a shadow of a doubt this one ranks as one of if not the best audio book I have purchased over the years. It's the one I keep on my MP3 player all the time so when I finish a new book and I'm "between" books, I fall back to this one... I promise this is King at his very best. I am not a huge King fan but this one is a keeper...

I am a fan of Nelson Demille and it doesn't hurt that one of the best narrators, Scott Brick reads most of his work online. I listened to most of the John Corey books before they released Plum Island to audio and it was referenced quite often by the author in retro comments. Really pleased with this one and happy I got it. You will not be disappointed if you get this one. Promise!

As dusk approaches a small Dublin suburb in the summer of 1984, mothers begin to call their children home. But on this warm evening, three children do not return from the dark and silent woods. When the police arrive, they find only one of the children, unable to recall a single detail of the previous hours.

Twenty years later, the found boy, Rob Ryan, is a detective on the Dublin Murder Squad and keeps his past a secret. But when a 12-year-old girl is found murdered in the same woods, he and Detective Cassie Maddox find themselves investigating a case chillingly similar to the previous unsolved mystery.
