  • The Truth About Hillary: What She Knew and How Far She'll Go to Become President

    • UNABRIDGED (6 hrs and 52 mins)
    • By Edward Klein
    • Narrated By Edward Klein
    • Whispersync for Voice-ready

Like it or not, Hillary Clinton is almost assuredly going to run for president in 2008. It doesn't matter that her negative poll numbers are high or that her past 15 years in the public eye have been anything but smooth. Since she was a little girl she has dreamed about becoming the first female president, and now that dream is well within reach.

    "The Truth About Hillary"

Objective not subjective reading. An insight into Hilary from a person who has no political agenda, it is so refreshing. The people who love Hilary will swear its a right wing smear campaign but I could find nothing that would lead me to believe this.

  • The Innocent Man: Murder and Injustice in a Small Town

    • UNABRIDGED (12 hrs and 32 mins)
    • By John Grisham
    • Narrated By Craig Wasson

John Grisham's first work of nonfiction, an exploration of small town justice gone terribly awry, is his most extraordinary legal thriller yet.

Mark says: "Good Book - Not Typical Grisham"

Very disappointed with not only the content but the reading of it. The book follows the trials & tribulations of a person condemed to die but later found innocent, not a topic I expected from a John Grisham book. Hopefully he will stick to fiction rather than telling a story out of the local/national headlines.

  • 100 People Who Are Screwing Up America (And Al Franken is #37)

    • ABRIDGED (6 hrs and 18 mins)
    • By Bernard Goldberg
    • Narrated By Bernard Goldberg

Bernard Goldberg takes dead aim at the America Bashers (the cultural elites who look down their snobby noses at "ordinary" Americans and detest so much of what this country is about); the Hollywood Blowhards (incredibly ditzy celebrities who think they're smart just because they're famous); the TV Schlockmeisters (including the one whose show has been compared to a churning mass of maggots devouring rotten meat); the Intellectual Thugs, and many more.

Marc says: "Some good points (really), kinda partisan."

It's good to hear from someone who uses the media in a way that hopefully will improve our society. Listen to it objectivley it is reality not just someone speaking out with a chip on his shoulder.

  • Chain of Command: The Road from 9/11 to Abu Ghraib

    • ABRIDGED (7 hrs and 12 mins)
    • By Seymour M. Hersh
    • Narrated By Peter Friedman

Since September 11, 2001, Seymour M. Hersh has riveted readers, and outraged the Bush Administration, with his stories in The New Yorker magazine, including his breakthrough pieces on the Abu Ghraib prison scandal. Now, in Chain of Command, he brings together this reporting, along with new revelations, to answer the critical question of the last three years: how did America get from that clear morning in September to a divisive and dirty war in Iraq?

Dean Carter says: "journalistic coverage of Presidency gone bad"
    "Twist & Turn"

The author has only shown that anyone can take a plotical position, twist it and turn it until it doesn't evenly remotely represent what really happened.
