When the National Security Agency's invincible code-breaking machine encounters a mysterious code it cannot break, the agency calls its head cryptographer, Susan Fletcher, a brilliant, beautiful mathematician. What she uncovers sends shock waves through the corridors of power. The NSA is being held hostage...not by guns or bombs, but by a code so complex that if released would cripple U.S. intelligence.

As far as the quality of the audiobook itself, the narrator of this title shold be fired and given a job in a field that does not require speaking. My opinion is that the story, thin as it is, is ruined by the narrator and his lack of ability to adquately portray each charachter. At times, the sound of his voice made the book seem endless. Only sheer force of will kept me listening. The story is decent, if thin. There is so much more that could have been done with it. Easily identified as one of Dan Brown's earlier books. Nowhere near the depth of The Da Vinci Code.

  • The Company: A Novel of the CIA

"If Robert Littell didn't invent the American spy novel," says Tom Clancy, "he should have." In this spectacular Cold-War-as-Alice-in-Wonderland epic, Littell, "the American le Carre," takes us down the rabbit hole and into the labyrinthine world of espionage that has been the CIA for the last half-century. "Ostensibly a single novel, The Company can also be listened to as an anthology of cracking good spy stories," says (Publishers Weekly).

I can honestly say that this is DEFINATELY one of the best audiobooks that I've ever listened to. Scott Brick (Narrator) did an absolutely fabulous job of putting you in the charachter's shoes. Although this book is long, you find yourself sitting anxiously through every second of it.
