"Change of narrator"
Same as the previous reviewer, I was very disapointed in the narrator... it's hard to change after the wonderful narration that John Lee gave to Silva's previous books... However the story is very good, and maybe the narrator isn't so bad ... It just felt like a new set of characters, and I missed the old ones.
"I'm hooked on the series! Great stories..."
The main character is fascinating strange but believable.
Pretty unique a mix of Columbo, Jack Reacher and Buffy
The dreams
yes
I hope that Audible will add the missing books of the series soon.
"Funny and lots of twists kept me fascinated"
Yes, the narrator is excellent combined with a great mystery, it's a fun book.
How an unbelievable world is made believable by adding layers of government admin
Great narrator, funny intonations that I would never have "imagined" if I read the book.
Yes... found lots of excuses to do menial chores so I could keep listening, the house is much cleaner because of it.
"Wonderful!!"
Absolutely, not just Hearstone, the whole series... What a wonderful way to learn about history... a great series!!!
Matthew Shardlake for his "misplaced" belief on justice, and also his assistant Barrat (sp?).
He bring reality to a world I wouldn't have a clue about...
Just a thirst for knowledge about how people living in that era thought, lived, loved, survived etc.
Great series... I hope a new book will be available soon.
"Pedantic ... very little to do with History"
It's not a history of the world as advertised ... unless you're crazy about wood worms and Noah's Ark
Nothing by Julian Barnes
The story about the actor in the jungle, that was kind of interesting... not that I know why, the author stops and the story goes on and on about the definition of Love...
too much to make a book
make your own decision, but if you want a real interesting world history listen to The Mental Floss History of the World (Unabridged) available on Audible
"Yuk... and a waste of time"
If it wasn't for John Lee (Narrator) I would'nt even tried to to finish it ... it's a mixture of Dr Who, star treck (all generations) and LSD at their worst.
