CIA counterterrorism operative Mitch Rapp falls prey to government forces with an agenda of their own after Dr. Irene Kennedy is named the successor to dying CIA Director Thomas Stansfield—a choice that enrages many inside the world’s most powerful intelligence agency. Her detractors will resort to extreme measures to prevent her from taking the reins—which makes Rapp an expendable asset. But Mitch Rapp is no one’s pawn, and he will stop at nothing to find out who has set him up.

William says: "A great novel nearly ruined by the reader."

Is there anything you would change about this book?

    Yes, above all the narration.

Would you ever listen to anything by Vince Flynn again?

Of course, I am a faithful fan

Would you be willing to try another one of Nick Sullivan’s performances?

    No

Do you think The Third Option needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Yes but one written more sophisticatedly like his other novels. Maybe the narration affected my reaction.

    Any additional comments?

I felt I was listening to a very simply written novel by a teenager not a seasoned author. Mr. Flynn can and always has done much better.

Ken Follett's World Without End was a global phenomenon, a work of grand historical sweep beloved by millions of readers and acclaimed by critics. Fall of Giants is his magnificent new historical epic. The first novel in The Century Trilogy, it follows the fates of five interrelated families - American, German, Russian, English, and Welsh - as they move through the world-shaking dramas of the First World War, the Russian Revolution, and the struggle for women's suffrage.

Louis says: "Loved it and learned alot."
"So enjoyable and a real learning experience!"
    Overall

I have studied world history but never really understood the reasons that lead up to WWI. What an eye-opener! This is a great novel and at the same time an enjoyable experience in understanding the lifestyle and frame of thinking in Russia, England, Germany and the USA. I listen when I am in traffic and I couldn't wait to get back in the car! I enjoyed the book from the beginning to the end. Ken Follett is a genius and John Lee made the book come alive.
