Libby Day was seven when her mother and two sisters were murdered in "The Satan Sacrifice of Kinnakee, Kansas". As her family lay dying, little Libby fled their tiny farmhouse into the freezing January snow. She lost some fingers and toes, but she survived, and famously testified that her 15-year-old brother, Ben, was the killer. Twenty-five years later, Ben sits in prison, and troubled Libby lives off the dregs of a trust created by well-wishers who've long forgotten her.

Where does Dark Places rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is a must have for a mystery/suspense reader. It keeps you guessing through the entire book.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

I found myself listening every spare moment of the day. The Day family felt like my own due to the wonderful writing. You become enthralled in the mystery as it unfolds and it leaves you with a sense of relief when the ending is revealed.

What about the narrators’s performance did you like?

I think the narrator's were wonderful. The different voices helped to identify with the different characters.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When it is revealed why everything was set in motion that day and that it could have only been one loss rather than an innocent family. The intentions were pure but the outcome was horrific.

    Any additional comments?

Gillian Flynn has quickly become one of my favorite authors.
