I love the O'Malley's!! This book makes a great start to the series.
If you are new to the series, I would suggest you read this one before reading The Negotiator.
This is the prequel. It is a wonderful story, and the audio book brings the characters to life.
I have read all of Dee Henderson's books. While it does annoy me a bit that she uses such perfect grammar because she is writing lines that a police officer would say, and they don't say things like, "I am going to the store 'via' the lake", or "'Nor' do I"... at least she stopped saying "cellular phone". lol!
Other than the grammar issue, she is a wonderful story teller and this is a really good one!
The narrator was good, but the voice he used for Paul Falcon was a bit goofy, so I only gave 4 stars on the performance. He did very well on everything else.
I am a fan of Dee Henderson, so I was a bit disappointed with this one.
It didn't keep my attention to the end like her other books.
I was very pleased at the beginning of the book when I found that the O'Malleys are in the book, but then it just fizzled from there.
It doesn't grab you to the end.
Not a bad story, but not a great one.
This is another wonderful story of the O'Malley's.
They are all so well written that you want to become part of the family.
Lisa is brilliant and broken until she finally let's God in and accepts the gift He has given her with Quinn. Riveting to the end. Love it!
I love the O'Malleys. These books make you want to be part of this amazing family.
I have read the entire series, but hearing the audio book brings them to life.
This is a wonderful story.
Probably an 8 since the other books were the Narnia books. But you can't compare any other author to C.S. Lewis. Not a very fair comparison! If I hadn't listened to the Narnia books I would have given this one a 9.
This is a wonderful book. I read it in the past.
The audio book brought the characters to life.
Any other O'Malley book. They are woven together. The characters are well written and the stories will keep you in suspense until the end.
Can't narrow it down to one!
Yes, I really enjoyed it.
When Samantha was able to talk him down.
He talked to fast. Went from sentence to sentence WAY too fast. I got used to it after a while and was able to enjoy the book, but I did not like his narration style at all.
What evil lurks?
Trust God. Redemption.
Tanya. She seemed real.
Shannon. You saw every different type of person in this one man.
Of the 3 books, this was definitely the best one. What a great story!
I thoroughly enjoyed the entire Narnia series, but to have the final book narrated by Patrick Steward was a great surprise and a HUGE bonus! All of the narrators did a wonderful job, but Patrick Stewart has an amazing presence. I felt like I was really hearing all of the characters exactly as C.S. Lewis had in his mind when he wrote the book.
King Tirian never doubted Aslan, the great lion. This story showed the love of the lion and how he always had a plan.
When they all realized they were in the real Narnia. This is a great picture of heaven.
Happily Ever After...
