"Absolutely Fantastic Book - Highly Recommended"
I loved this book! This is a clever and fast-paced mix of London Police and magic. Great characters and story. The reader does an amazing job of all the different voices and accents. I could hardly bear to pause the book and go into work! Well worth buying.
"Slow to Build but a Thundering Conclusion"
This was a really interesting book. It starts out quite slow, and for a while I was wondering if I had mistakenly bought a book that was not science fiction. However, it is well worth persisting as the mystery unfolds. This story has some very interesting characters, and builds to a fantastic conclusion. I won't spoil it, but any book which has Telsa and Chthulhu is worth a listen! Ray Porter does a good job of narration.
"Fantastic Book - gritty urban sorcery with humour"
This is the first of TA Pratt's Marla Mason Series. I started this after hearing a Marla Mason Story on Podcastle, and I'm so glad I bought this book. I guess the genre is urban sorcery, set in a fictional modern city in North America. The characters are flawed and interesting, particularly Marla. If you like the Harry Dresden books, I think you'd like this series. The reading is well done.
"Aliens, Sheep, Action!"
This was my first novel by John Scalzi and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Wil Wheaton does a great job reading it. This science fiction novel is a dryly funny, action-packed story of intercultural politics. Worth a listen
"Great Steampunk - worth a listen"
I was very pleasantly surprised to listen to this book - great main characters, fast paced steampunk mystery. The narration is great, and James Langton does a very good job depicting the different characters. I thoroughly enjoyed this book as a funny light mystery, and am about to explore Pip Ballantine's other novels.
