"Epic"
This is the book where the reader watches author Robert Crais mature from a good story teller to a master of his craft.
"Performance should be 0 stars."
This great book was destroyed by a terrible narrator
The plot kept me on my seat's edge when I read the book. When I listened to THIS book, I winced and sighed and rolled my eyes. AWFUL!!!!
No heart. No soul. No excitement. Dreadful lack of everything. AWFUL!!!!
I would throw this entire "reading" (I use that term with great misgivings.) OUT. Burn it.
It would be better to NOT have this audiobook in this series than to have this particular edition.
Blech!!!!
"More please!"
I have always loved Robert McCammon, and I loved this in particular. This was very well done, entirely engrossing. The 33 hours FLEW by.
Can we please have MORE?? Stinger? Wolf's Hour???
"enjoyable mystery"
I thought this was a well paced, wittily written mystery, as was the first book.
For people who are looking for an episode of the the TV series in which the supposed author is a character, you have missed the point. This is a story with it's own characters. Yes, you can see similarities, but they aren't supposed to be the same!
A fun read, a fun listen. If you like the show, you will find a few in jokes as well.
