I absolutely loved the first book in this series Caine's Reckoning. I waited 6 months for the release of this book. Checking every week hoping it would come out early. This book is in no way like the first book. The two main characters start having the most detailed explicit sex before they even start developing the plot. This is not a novel as much as it feels like Letters to Penthouse. This author has the ability to write a wonderful story that naturally leads to wonderfully written explicit erotica. This book felt like hours of blunt erotica with a bad story forced around it. There are 6 more books in this series. I hope the author can turn this around for the next book. I would so love to read another on the same level as Caine's Reckoning

I got a free offer to try this book as an intoduction to the series. Loving great Sci Fi and Crime Drama this is a perfect series for me. As a marketing campain it worked !!! I will be buying all the books in this series. Thank You Audible for knowing what makes a Great BooK!
