"Wicked Prey"
Classic Lucas Davenport, A#1 in my book, and nobody reads the Prey Series like Richard Ferrone. In this installment, we hear from characters in previous books of the series AND! Letty is growing up fast and included in this story. All in all a great listen.
"I Love This Series"
It has it all. Winning characters. Witty repartee. Crimes to be solved.
The expert reading by George Guidall.
"Great beginnings!"
I've read some of the books in this series, glad to find the beginning book, just to build the character. Will definitely continue listening to the series.
"Great Listen!"
This is a good crime solvers listen. Great characters, with witty repartee, sometimes funny, sometimes sad, and a crime to solve.
I will definitely get the follow-ups, glad I found this as the first in a series deal.
ALMOST fills the void left by the death of Robert B. Parker and the Spenser series..
That's a big void to fill...
Greatly enhanced by the narration of George Guidall.
I would highly recommend this book, this series to fellow listeners and e-book readers.
"Raylan Givens' Beginnings"
I love Elmore Leonard stories.
It gives a background to the character in the tv show 'Justified'.
This is the first of his performances I've heard.
i don't know
"Pretty good mystery"
yes I would recommend this book to a friend because it's a decent, light mystery
this is my first book by Dixie Cash
Easy to tell the characters apart
i don't know
It's a bit of a bodice ripper to me, but several of my friends enjoy the romance mixed in with the mystery.
"Sixkill"
A good, solid Spenser novel, even though Hawk is not in it. I'm just happy to continue listening to Spenser series since the passing of RBP. Can't help but wonder where he would have taken us with this new character...
"Buried Prey"
Excellent, as always! I love Lucas Davenport! et al...
Enjoying the Virgil Flowers series as well..."that f--king Flowers..."
"Port Mortuary"
I've been a big fan of Kay Scarpetta for a long time now, but after that nasty business with Pete Marino, I think Patricia Cornwell has taken a WRONG TURN with that story line. When her husband went missing, I kept following, I was glad to read that he came back from the dead, and Lucy is still one of the most coolest chicks out there! I guess I just can't get past the thing with Marino. It seemed SO out of character. And I think it ruined the series for me. I MIGHT listen to this again and get more out of the current story line, but I'm not sure about that.
"Now You See Her"
I usually stay away from the James Patterson "collaborations" but this one was actually pretty good. A lot of action, sometimes incredible, a lot of twists and turns, I think I missed some clues while listening AT WORK, but overall a good mystery and a good listen. I would and I already have recommended it to friends.
"The Neon Rain"
I was glad to listen to this, got it during the 1st of Series sale. I started reading this series with the one where Dave rescues Alafair. It was good to listen to this to get the background, when Dave was still with NOPD. It's a great story, as always the wonderful descriptive text and the truly great narration by Will Patton.
