  • America's March to Socialism: Why We're One Step Closer to Giant Missile Parades

From massive government spending to media declarations of the death of capitalism, Glenn Beck hears the sounds of boots marching America toward a system of government that bears a closer resemblance to socialism with each passing day. To document this, he focuses on stories that range from the headlines to more obscure local stories that might otherwise be overlooked.

The crazy characterized voices and looping intros and outros from the radio show get annoying when done for a full hour; one intro and one outro for the hour session would suffice. Nothing wrong with the context, just very poor editing of the redundant characterized voices and background music. I understand that Glenn Beck is pasionate about what he does, but I could do without the added dramatization.

For a moment I thought that the first listen would be a guided instruction on how to use audible.com or the manager and the featurs. However, it appears to be nothing more than more advertising and audbile book sample "trailers" if you will.

Dave Ramsey argues saving money and investing for long term returns in this book. Most of the saving methods point to reasons why and how one can do without credit and sticking with a cash-based way of life in saving and spending. Dave Ramsey's concept of a total money makeover will be full of things that you do not want to hear or would turn a tone deaf ear to, however it is logical and real.

Idiots can't be identified through voting records, they can be found only by looking for people who hide behind stereotypes, embrace partisanship, and believe that bumper-sticker slogans are a substitute for common sense. If you know someone who fits the bill, then Arguing with Idiots will help you silence them once and for all with the ultimate weapon: the truth.

Glenn Beck has a lot of "ADD moments" in this audible book, however, those moments are what make the audible book more fun to listen to. There is a lot of interesting facts and laws in this book on reasons how and why the government took control of organizations in America that one would think should remain private. Most of the facts point to reasons why America may be better off without government involvement as well. Whether or not one agrees with Glenn Beck, the facts and laws cannot not be disputed... even to an idiot.
