Adam Winters has enough responsibility as the new head of the local Ghost Hunter Guild without being saddled with the family curse. He’s convinced his recent nightmares and hallucinations will lead to him becoming a psychic rogue — unless he can find a stolen relic and a woman who can read dreamlight. andMarlowe Jones rides into his life on a motorcycle and with a dust bunny at her side. Though a descendant of the rival Arcane family, she’s just what Adam needs.

This is not my usual type of book but it had was fun to listen to and had enough fantasy to make it interesting. My main series are Cat and Bones by Frost, The hallows series by Harrison and the Stackhouse series by Harris. This was a fun deviation from my normal books.

What did you love best about Eternal Hunger?

The interesting story and good character development. this book follows in some of my favorite series, Jenifer Frost Grave series is the best example. It is not as good as hers but it is worth listening to and I will pick up the 2nd in the series.

    Any additional comments?

Tavia Gilbert does another exceptional job narrating the story, which was interesting but it took two chapters for me to get into. I do recommend this if you like the Cat and Bones series.

Number-one New York Times best-selling author Charlaine Harris has won numerous awards for her Sookie Stackhouse Southern Vampire series, which has been adapted into the hit HBO show True Blood. In this 13th and final book, a murder rocks the town of Bon Temps and Sookie is arrested for the crime. After making bail, she sets out to clear her name - but her investigation only leads to more deaths.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

This is a great series 4 to 5 stars for each book except this one but if you listened to the others in this series you need to hear how it ends.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

I loved her narration on the previous 12 books but something was off on her narration of this book. Still enjoyable but not as enjoyable as the other books.

    Any additional comments?

The book is worth listening too just don't get your hopes up that it is as good as the other ones. I did not like the way through most of the beginning and throughout the book how it took place from different points of view other then Sookie's. The story was not as suspenseful or exciting as the others. I read a lot of reviews before getting this book and most were negative and for good reason Harris changed the way she told this story and it was a letdown as compared tot he rest of the series but it is worth getting to see how the story ends and it was not horrible it was good but the rest of the series was great.

If you could sum up The Lost Fleet: Fearless in three words, what would they be?

    Exciting, suspenseful, satisfying

Have you listened to any of Christian Rummel and Jack Campbell ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Dauntless, the first in this series which was great and this was even better. Fearless the Narration was just as good and the story was better as you get to see the relationships evolve and the Fleet mature and more questions arise.

    Any additional comments?

the first book got me hooked and this one kept me wanting more. I recommend both this this book and the first in the series and I just downloaded the third because I can't wait to hear how this story continues.

Sookie suspects otherwise, but her attention is divided when she realizes that her lover, Eric Northman, and his "child", Pam, are plotting to kill the vampire who is now their master. Gradually, Sookie is drawn into the plot - which is much more complicated than she knows.

Yes, I have listened to the others in this series multiple times and I liked this one enough to do the same.

    Any additional comments?

If you liked the previous books in this series then you will love this one also. The story takes an interesting turn and the characters are still great. I only have the last book to get but most of the reviews have been bad, I will get it and review it myself but I am not going into the 13th book with great expectations I did with the others.

Captain John "Black Jack" Geary's legendary exploits are known to every schoolchild. Revered for his heroic "last stand" in the early days of the war, he was presumed dead. But a century later, Geary miraculously returns from survival hibernation and reluctantly takes command of the Alliance fleet as it faces annihilation by the Syndics.

Appalled by the hero-worship around him, Geary is nevertheless a man who will do his duty. And he knows that bringing the stolen Syndic hypernet key safely home is the Alliance's one chance to win the war. But to do that, Geary will have to live up to the impossibly heroic "Black Jack" legend.

Basically the story is about a military leader frozen for 100 years and most people think he is the greatest military commander in history, unfortunately history is never correct. He is awakened and is inadvertently put in charge of the fleet and he has to battle his way home and his reputation. The story is exciting and the charters are interesting. I was surprised how much I liked it. Got to love the Audible sales that is why I got this. This is not my normal type read but I will get the rest of this series.

The ever after, the demonic realm that parallels our own, is shrinking, and if it disappears, so does all magic. It’s up to witch-turned-daywalking-demon Rachel Morgan to fix the ever-after before the fragile balance between magic users and humans fails. Of course, there’s also the small fact that she caused the ley line to rip in the first place, and her life is forfeit unless she can fix it.

After reading/Listening to the previous books, (you will want to read them in order), this has some surprises and shows how the character relationships have changed. I don't want to spoil anything so I am not mentioning what happens but it is what I expected. Overall this is a good series and well worth getting.

She's also a witch, one of the many Inderlanders who revealed themselves after a genetically engineered virus wiped out 50 percent of humanity. Witches, warlocks, vampires, werewolves: the creatures of dreams and nightmares have lived beside humans for centuries, hiding their powers. But now they've stopped hiding, and nothing will be the same.

What did you like best about this story?

The interaction's between the main characters and no matter how bad everything got they stuck together in an amusing way.

    Any additional comments?

The story is great as it tells the story of a witch who is trying to stay alive a vampire and a pixie that befriend her. The three live together in a church and you can see the friendships develop. The best part is the fact that Ivy (vampire) Rachael (witch) live and work together but Rachael is scarred to death of ivy. It's an interesting story with a lot of mixed emotions. It's a good supernatural thriller with two main characters that have a lot of emotional baggage. I recommend this story and suggest that you listen or read them in order, just like the Bones and Cat books.

I liked them both and read the entire series before listening to it. Gavin is not my favorite narrator but she did well in this book, except foe a few places where she paused a little to long as if my Kindle stopped working but it did not take away from the enjoyment of the story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Vlad, I loved his interaction with Cat and Bones in their series and it was great finding out more about him. Love his self importance.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, it kept getting better as you see the relationship develop between them and get to hear about Vlad's past.

    Any additional comments?

This is the first frost book which you can listen too without it affecting the stories in other series. She does a great job creating another story to build a series from. If you liked any of her other stories then you have to listen to this one, especially if you likes Vlad in her other books.
