"Juicy, Revealing, full of Suprises"
This as a quick listen that I really enjoyed. I've LOVED Madonna for years but this book comes as no suprise. IT's always interesting to get the "inside scoop" on the life of a famous person. I can understand why this book was at once painful and cathartic for Christopher to write. Here's to a job well done!
"I want to like this more than I actually do"
THis poor book. I actually feel kind of sorry for it. It means to be funny, but it somehow falls flat. It's like reading the transcript of your favorite show. There's no doubt in my mind that this is a hilarious stage show. It just doesn't do much in the book department - even with the author reading it. I LOVE Carrie Fisher and will go see her show Wishful Drinking if it comes to my town. THis book is a better value if checked out from the library.
"Amazing story"
This is a truely fascinating story. I'd never heard of this case. Now i'm glad that I did.
"Like Roots for Indian families"
Ok, this book doesn't go as far as Roots did, but it's a beautiful read none the less. I LOVED every word!
"I LOVED this book!"
I expected to hate this book. I assumed that it would be full of floss and excuses for the past 4 years. Instead McClellan comes off as a wholely likable guy who got caught up in some nasty stuff. Fully human and flawed he offer a picture of the president and the press not usually seen. I'm a life long Democrat. I come away from this work seeing Bush as pitiful and sad and all too human. I LOVED this book and highly recommend it! God Bless you Scott McClelan
"Brilliant as always"
I am a big fan of John Grisham's court room novels. This book does not disappoint!
"LOVE!"
This book has that certain something about rank McCourt that I always love. I have listened to this selection over and over again.
Sometimes I just need a little Frank in my day. When there's no time for Angela's Ashes or my other fav 'Tis - I give Angela and the Baby Jesus and it always makes me smile.
"Liked not loved this book."
I love Jennifer Weiner and anxiously awaited this work. I liked the book, but did not fall in love the same way I did with Good In Bed. Jen is still one of my favorite authors and this book is NOT a miss. It's not a dead on hit either. I laughed. I cried. I was thrilled to find out what happened to everyone. It's just that this book had a certain almost melancholy tone that didn't really sit well with me.
I'll keep reading JW and i'm glad that I read this book.
"What a hoot!"
I loved this book! I had to quit reading it on the bus because I found myself laughing out loud! Chelsea reminds me of a young Kathy Griffin.
