Yes. Enjoyed the characters. I liked that the ending of the book included a follow-up on what happened to all the characters.

It is Nick and Amy Dunne's fifth wedding anniversary. Presents are being wrapped and reservations are being made when Nick's clever and beautiful wife disappears from their rented McMansion on the Mississippi River. Husband-of-the-Year Nick isn't doing himself any favors with cringe-worthy daydreams. Under mounting pressure from the police and the media - as well as Amy's fiercely doting parents - the town golden boy parades an endless series of lies, deceits, and inappropriate behavior. Nick is oddly evasive, and he's definitely bitter - but is he really a killer?

Would have preferred a different ending.

Maybe - but only if the reviews indicated that the ending was believable.

What would have made The Distant Hours better?

If it was shorter - and the ending was better

Has The Distant Hours turned you off from other books in this genre?

    no

    Any additional comments?

I had read Secret Keeper by the same author, which I really enjoyed. I thought this book would have been similar, but it wasn't. I was restless and didn't find the mystery believable. I would not recommend the book. Sad characters also.
