Would you try another book from Robert Littell and/or Scott Brick?

Scott Brick as always was fantanstic. I have no idea why the book had such drama throughout and then ended the way it did. Completely let down by it.

What was most disappointing about Robert Littell’s story?

The ending. Unless there's a sequel I don't know about.......there definitely should be....

Which character – as performed by Scott Brick – was your favorite?

    The Weeder

Was The Once and Future Spy worth the listening time?

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Story was ok but honestly would've been better with a better narrator. No emotion what so ever.

But now, Beecher White - the hero of the number one New York Times best seller The Inner Circle - discovers a killer in Washington, D.C. who's meticulously re-creating the crimes of these four men. Tracker must rescue kidnapped heiress Ari Blake and deliver her safely to the Hell's Eight compound - by any means necessary. Turns out that includes marrying her, if he means to escort her and her infant daughter across the Texas Territory. Tracker hadn't bargained on a wife - especially such a fair, blue-eyed beauty. But the erotic pleasures of the marriage bed more than make up for the surprise....

What does Isabelle Gordon bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

emotion of each character matched the voice. The book came alive.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened to the whole thing from start to finish in one sitting. Loved it. It was more believeable than all the other Hell's Eight stories, for sure. Slightly sweet but too much. And like all audiobooks, the narrator either makes it or breaks it. This narrator is by far the best one out of all the Hell's Eight series. I will re-listen to this book all over again!

The letters Kyla sent to her husband, Sergeant Richard Stroud, stationed a world away, spoke of a love that stretched across the ocean and held the young couple together. But when tragedy ended their marriage too soon, Kyla was left a widow with a newborn son. And Richard left behind only a metal box filled with his wife's declarations of love. Trevor Rule had been Richard's best friend. Returning home from military duty, he carried with him the letters Kyla had sent. And with each one he read, he fell more in love with the gentle, passionate woman who had penned them..

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

the storyline is good but just way too drawn out. had to skip some chapters because it was just too boring on the internal conflict of Kila. Seriously, I was starting to not even like her anymore. i usually enjoy re-listening to my audiobooks but not this one.
